Persecution against Israel links G-d’s vengeance?

As a Christian who lives in Israel, I’m commonly asked why does Israel attack Christians and churches?

Sometimes I respond, why do Christians attack Israel and Judaism?

Rare Christian persecution in Israel occurs but news expands with war and global assaults on Israel. Mainly, to discredit Israel. Some reasons can be Christian alignment with Palestinian Arabs, who can be anti-Jewish. Christian authorities challenging the State of Israel’s authority in war. Or, Christian conceit that ‘they’ know better, and ‘own’ Israel since their church is located here. Both, insulting to citizens. However, the Israeli government always tries to defuse.

The Jewish State of Israel is a religious state. A sovereign, democratic nation reborn in 1948. It is their country. Designed to protect Judaism from the repeat of World War II and changes to the Torah; the Books of Moses.

They believe Christians are misguided based on Ezekiel 37 prophecy and other promises. G-d reuniting the sticks of Israel and Judah into one nation, making a New Covenant and reengaging sacrifice in the Third Temple to G-d (Daniel 9:27, and in the New Testament 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 and Revelation 11:1-2). That upcoming New Covenant may be as shocking to Christians as Jesus of Nazareth was to Judaism. Be prepared. Highly studied and debated, we as Christians simply do not know G-d’s plan or when. But know prophecy is clear. G-d will reengage His chosen people.

More, the Apostles are Jewish (Luke is disputed). The 144000 are from the Tribes of Israel, probability the elders sitting near the Lord are from Judah or Israel. Paul’s warning, G-d did not reject His people and to Gentile believers not to be arrogant. New Jerusalem’s twelve gates are named after Jacob’s (Israel’s) sons.

According to the New Testament, in the end times when Jerusalem is surrounded and anger comes to G-d’s face, and the Messiah returns Lamb turned Lion, He doesn’t save the world. On the contrary, wreaks havoc on it and the Gentiles, saving only His chosen people and His elite. Fulfilling prophecy.

Recorded in the New Testament, religious rivalry began during Jesus’ time. The division extended in the Apostle era with the neglect of the Hellenistic Jewish widows. Followed by doctrine strife between observant Jewish believers and non-observant believers. What we know as Christianity, originally known as an exclusive Jewish sect, The Way or Nazarenes, was consumed by Gentile believers. Unfortunately, completely separating the Jewish identity. The gaps continued to widen, far worse under the Crusaders. Medieval Europe’s persecution of Jews pushed it beyond. World War II was the final blow. Along with comprehensive Jewish rejection and trust of Christianity now viewed as the enemy.

Since Israel’s rebirth as the Jewish State of Israel, the Jewish population has not experienced genuine, consistent support from intercontinental Christianity.

In fact, the opposite.

Except, for a portion of devoted Christians.

Although, sometimes Judaism can’t discern Christian supporters and instead group together as potential antagonists or missionaries.

Israel is offended by Replacement Theory. They know prophecy, Judah and Israelites will once again be exalted by G-d.

Thus, the ongoing tit for tat fighting. Which on occasion gets out of control before authorities step in.

For the sake of prospective heavenly judgement, Christianity needs a rethink and fresh approach to honest, dependable and unified support of Israel. Not trying to convert them; Judaism/Christianity status is too volatile leading to mayhem. Not trying to buy them, not trying to govern them, and not trying to live here. Merely, concrete Christian support and being a steadfast friend. Entrusting G-d to draw Israel to Him. Which He will.

As we move into what some scholars believe may be near End Times. It will usher in G-d’s own revival of His Chosen Jewish and Israelite people according to prophecy. Further, and corresponding to the stern warning to Gentile Christians in Romans 11, the Israelite and Jewish endurance and sacrifice of G-d’s discipline and chastisement during which G-d saved us Gentiles by His Grace will be in the twilight as we witness His renewed Blessings on His own Chosen People.

Likely, we will lessen and G-d’s Chosen Israel and Judah will increase.

Don’t we owe Israel eternal gratitude for G-d sidelining His Own while saving us?

We all are sinners saved by grace.

Consequently, Christians should unequivocally support Israel. Specifically, during this time of their extreme growing pains. As opposed to adding to their complex miseries and grief.

I personally believe, at the Judgement Seat, sincere, no strings and non-judgmental support for Israel will please Jesus of Nazareth. Born in Bethlehem of the Tribe of Judah and after forty days presented to G-d by devout Simon in the Second Temple of Jerusalem.
