Postmortem

Boy was I wrong.

I ate the crap the pollsters and the networks fed me

“It’s going to be a close race.”

So I believed she’d win the electoral college and the popular vote.

Boy was I wrong.

So when the election turned out to be a blowout, I asked,

“Why did Kamala do so poorly?”

My simple answer was, “She’s Black and she’s a woman and she’s married to a White Jew.”

The country ain’t quite ready for that trifecta.

I also knew that many Black men hate Black women who marry White dudes, especially White Jewish dudes,  But the media never raised that issue. I wondered why they never asked a young Afro-American, “How do you feel about Kamala being married to a White Jew?”.

Then I remembered that American media is owned by Republican billionaires and  wondered, “Did they affect the election?”

Who knows?

But the real reason Harris lost is much more complex. Most postmortems will not address that reason because the Democrats have no solution to the problem.

I’m going to say that again.

The Democrats have no solution for the problem.

The real reason Kamala got clobbered is that Fox News for eight years pounded fear into their viewers’ heads and hearts. Every day Fox scared them to death. Scared them into believing that we were being invaded by an alien army of drug smugglers and bomb-carrying Middle Eastern terrorists and Hispanic gangs. Then they’d bring up a case where some illegal alien murdered an innocent White woman. Then they rested their case. I witnessed Fox’s plot against America and laughed it off. “Americans ain’t that easy to brainwash.

Boy was I wrong.

Ya see 60 years ago, Republicans read this KGB study that said that if you bombarded human subjects with fear messages nonstop, in two months or less most of the subjects were completely brainwashed to believe the false message to the point that no amount of clear information that they were shown, to the contrary could change their minds.

I guess the Democrats never saw that study.

But Fox executed the study brilliantly.

Fear messaging for 24 hours a day 365 days a year for over 8 years.

Yes, aliens are trudging across our porous borders, and living on the streets of our major cities, and killing some of us good folks. Pretty scary stuff.

Kamala didn’t even say, “I’ll close the borders.”

Nor did she address the “brainwashed” issue. Thinking about it, I never heard her say the word, “Brainwashed.”

If you can’t address the problem, you lose the war.

And there’s a second reason Harris lost. It’s called the economy. I witnessed this phenomenon daily when  I entered  South Florida restaurants and saw them half empty. Most pollsters know, that if  American voters can’t afford to eat out, they’re ain’t going to vote for the incumbent party.

Based on the value of my home, I knew buying a home was out of reach for most young people. Even the weekly experience of buying groceries was a painful reminder to vote against Kamala.

In her heart, Kamal knew she was fighting a lost cause.

Her daily emails begging me for money showed how pathetic her campaign was.

When they told her to fight the Devil with a butter knife. She did.

When they told her to debate a convicted felon, a molester of numerous women, a liar, and an insurrectionist. She did.

What was she thinking?

In one fell swoop she “Koshered” Trump in the eyes of many Americans.

She failed to understand how to lunge for Trump’s jugular. Hadn’t she seen the video of a five-year-old Mexican girl detained on the border crying her eyes out for her mother. Trump caused those tears. But the American public never saw them.

Didn’t she attend presidential candidate training school? Where they teach the candidates must select a pit bull for their vice president who will sink his or her teeth in their opponent’s throat. But never choose a lovable beagle.

Ergo, Kamala never had a chance.

Let me say that again.

Kamala never had a chance.

From the day she entered the race, Joe’s immigration and economic policies and the folks brainwashed by Fox News doomed her campaign.

She knew it and Doug knew it and I should have known it.

Boy was I stupid.
