Rabbi Calls on Jewish Men to Fight for the Honor of Their Women

Rabbi Avi Schwartz, Torah Scholar, Award-Winning Filmmaker, Activist

Rabbi Avi Schwartz, the son of the legendary Freedom Fighter of the 1948 War of Independence, Mordechai Schwartz—known as Motke the Axeman, knows what it means to fight for what matters most. His father’s unwavering courage during Israel’s War of Independence has become a guiding light for Rabbi Schwartz, shaping his unrelenting commitment to justice and the protection of his people.

From his brilliant mother, Henya, Rabbi Schwartz learned the sacred value of honoring Jewish women. Henya was not only a woman of strength and wisdom but also a beacon of dignity, teaching her son that Jewish women are the foundation of the Jewish people. “The strength of our people begins with the honor of our women,” she would say, and those words have stayed with Rabbi Schwartz his entire life.

When Rabbi Schwartz joined the Swords of Iron, Israel’s call-up operation for national defense, he didn’t just step into the role of protector—he stepped into his destiny. He carried with him the lessons of his father’s bravery and his mother’s brilliance, both of which fuel his impassioned plea to Jewish men worldwide: Stand up, protest, and fight for the honor of our women. If we do not fight for them, no one else will.

Jewish Women: The Heart of Our Nation

Jewish women have always been the cornerstone of our people. From Sarah and Rivkah to the heroines of modern Israel, they have upheld our traditions, nurtured our families, and carried our collective spirit through exile and return. The violation of Jewish women is not just a personal crime—it is an assault on the very soul of the Jewish people.

Our enemies have always understood this. In every pogrom, massacre, and war, they have targeted our women first, seeking to humiliate and break us. But they underestimate us. When Jewish women are attacked, Jewish men must rise—not just in defense, but in righteous anger and unshakable resolve.

The Failure of Global Movements

The atrocities committed on October 7th should have been a rallying cry for every human rights organization, every women’s rights group, every advocate for justice. Yet, the silence from these groups is louder than the explosions of war.

The Me Too Movement, so vocal when celebrities are involved, has chosen to ignore the brutalization of Jewish women. The United Nations, which rushes to condemn Israel at every opportunity, has shown no interest in acknowledging these atrocities. Even within progressive circles, there is an uncomfortable silence when the victims are Jewish.

This is not a new phenomenon. Jewish suffering has often been met with indifference or outright denial. But this time, we will not allow it. Rabbi Schwartz has made it clear: It is up to us, the Jewish men, to ensure that the world hears the cries of our sisters.

A Call to Action

Protest with Strength and Unity

Organize and join protests demanding recognition of the crimes committed against Jewish women. Do not let the silence of others deter you. Bring this issue to the steps of every government, every embassy, every human rights organization.

Spread the Truth Through Powerful Videos

Rabbi Schwartz emphasizes the power of visuals in spreading the message. Social media is a battlefield, and short, impactful videos can turn the tide.

The presentation matters. These videos should evoke strength, resolve, and dignity. Consider shooting in dark, shadowed angles to convey seriousness and gravitas, or opt for a frontal, direct approach to show courage and conviction. Speak from the heart, and don’t shy away from raw emotion. The goal is to make the world feel the pain and power of this message.

Each video, no matter how short, should demand justice, call out the silence, and honor the women who have suffered. Rabbi Schwartz reminds us: “A single voice may not carry far, but thousands of voices joined together will shake the world.”

Hold Organizations Accountable

Confront the Me Too Movement, the UN, and every other group that claims to stand for human rights. Demand they acknowledge the atrocities and speak out. Their silence is complicity, and we will not allow it to continue.

Support Our Women

The trauma inflicted on our sisters cannot be undone, but it can be met with love, support, and solidarity. Rally around the survivors. Let them know they are not alone. Offer emotional, financial, and spiritual assistance.

Channel the Spirit of Shimon and Levi

In the Torah, when their sister Dinah was violated, Shimon and Levi did not hesitate. They acted with righteous fury, defending her honor and showing the world that Jewish women are not to be desecrated. Rabbi Schwartz calls on us to channel that same spirit today—not with senseless violence, but with unrelenting action and unyielding resolve.

We Cannot Let Our Women Down

The honor of Jewish women is the honor of the Jewish people. If we remain silent, we allow their suffering to be ignored. If we do nothing, we fail not only our women but our entire nation.

Rabbi Schwartz’s call is not just a plea; it is a demand. Jewish men must rise as protectors, advocates, and warriors for justice. The world must know that we will not stand idly by while our sisters’ honor is trampled.

A Message to the World

To the global community, let this be clear: Jewish blood is not cheap, and Jewish women are not forgotten. We demand justice, recognition, and accountability. The atrocities committed on October 7th will not be swept under the rug.

To the Me Too Movement, the UN, and other human rights organizations: your silence is a stain on your credibility. Speak now, or forever reveal your hypocrisy.

To every Jewish man: this is your fight. Stand with your sisters, your mothers, your daughters, and your wives. If not you, who? If not now, when?

A Final Call

Jewish men, this is your moment. The world must see us standing tall, unyielding in our demand for justice. The honor of our women is not negotiable. Their suffering is our suffering. Their dignity is our dignity. And their sanctity is our sanctity

Jewish men, this is a moment of truth. Rise up. Protest. Fight for the honor of our women, as our forefathers did before us. The world is watching, and so are our sisters.

The honor of our humble and great nation has been desecrated. For Women are our honor, and thus the Name of G-d has been desecrated. We cannot remain silent.

Do not let them down.
