Rampant Lies Endanger Jewish Lives

Anti Israel Protest

There’s a war happening in Gaza—but there’s another one raging online, in the media, on college campuses, and in the streets of every major Western city. This is a war not just against Israel but against truth itself. And make no mistake: it is putting Jewish lives around the world in grave danger.

The actual war began on October 7, 2023. On that day, Hamas—an internationally recognized terrorist organization—launched a brutal, unprovoked massacre against Israeli civilians. Babies were slaughtered. Women were raped. Families were burned alive. Over 1,200 Israelis were butchered, and more than 240 were dragged into Gaza as hostages, many of whom have endured over 600 days of psychological and physical torture. And let’s be absolutely clear: there was a ceasefire in place on 10/7. Israel wasn’t the one that broke it.

Hamas didn’t just commit atrocities—they shamelessly documented them. GoPro footage, bodycam videos, live streams on social media. They wanted the world to see. They counted on the fact that no one would care—that the images of Israeli civilians being mutilated, raped, and slaughtered would be dismissed, ignored, or better yet, justified. Tragically, they were right and things have only gotten worse.

Even before Israel mounted a military response, the global narrative had already been twisted. Within hours of the massacre, media outlets and social media influencers began parroting the social justice script: that Israel, cast in the role of oppressor, was to blame; and Hamas murderers were rebranded as resistance fighters. The propaganda machine didn’t wait for facts. It went straight to accusations. The victim became the villain.

Despite Hamas’s deliberate use of schools, hospitals, and apartment buildings as shields, Israel has maintained the lowest combatant-to-civilian casualty ratio in the history of urban warfare. No other military in the modern world has taken such extreme measures to protect the civilians of its enemy. Yet facts don’t matter because in the court of opinion, Israel has been cast as a genocidal oppressor. Why? Because the truth has been buried beneath a coordinated campaign of disinformation—cheerfully amplified by major media outlets, international institutions, and an army of ignorant sheep on social media. And the results have been deadly.

Just yesterday in Boulder, Colorado, Jews were burned alive during a peaceful walk in a horrifying, antisemitic terror attack. This comes just a week after two Israeli Consulate employees were slaughtered in Washington, D.C. for the crime of being Jewish. None of this is random. Both acts were committed by brainwashed maniacs who yelled “Free Palestine” as they attacked innocents.

We are witnessing in real time the direct result of nearly two years of constant lies, incitement and demonization. Know-nothing TikTok influencers, student activists, celebrities, and journalists breathlessly regurgitate figures provided by the so- called Gaza Health Ministry—aka one of Hamas’ propaganda arms—as if it were an objective third party. These numbers, never verified or real, are splashed across headlines by CNN, the BBC, and The New York Times and virally consumed as truth.

International organizations like the United Nations—long obsessed with demonizing the Jewish state—accept and disseminate Hamas’s claims as gospel. They promoted the manufactured story about 14,000 babies being on the brink of death and it spread like wildfire. And when Hamas falsely accused Israel of killing 31 civilians seeking aid in Gaza, the world bought it, despite it being proven untrue by CCTV footage and verified by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. These lies have consequences.

The result? Reality is turned inside out. Israel is vilified, while a jihadist death cult is handed the moral high ground. And Jews worldwide are in danger.

Meanwhile, Israel continues to do what no nation in history has ever done in war: send hundreds of thousands of tons of humanitarian aid into enemy territory, even as rockets rain down from it. Food, medicine, fuel—most of which is looted by Hamas and sold at astronomical prices to its people. And even when desperate Gazans took to the street in protest against Hamas, no one cared because the truth was inconvenient to the narrative.

It’s clear that this isn’t about Gaza. It’s about Jews. The lies being spread about Israel give cover to something old and insidious. Antisemites now feel emboldened. In cities across the West, people are marching in lockstep, openly cheering for terrorists. Parading around in keffiyehs and chanting “Free Palestine” aka the new “Heil Hitler”—a grotesque, self-righteous badge of hate masquerading as virtue. It’s trendy. It’s performative. This clownery would almost be laughable, were it not so dangerous.

This moral inversion has given cover to antisemitism so open, so shameless, that it would have seemed unthinkable in the West just a few years ago—and it was bad then. Jewish students are harassed and assaulted on university campuses. Synagogues are vandalized. Jewish businesses are boycotted not for what they sell, but for who owns them. A Jewish Governor’s mansion was burned with his family inside. Marchers in New York, London, and Paris openly wave flags of proscribed terror groups and chant slogans that translate to “death to Jews.” It’s framed as social justice, but it’s simply bloodlust with a crack PR team.

These same masked crusaders are silent on real human rights abuses elsewhere—from Syria to Sudan to China—because Jews aren’t involved. Their outrage is selective, their activism hollow and unserious, their slogans camouflage for hate.

And here’s the hard truth: this war could end tomorrow. Hamas could surrender. They could release the hostages. They could stop using civilians as human shields. Israel never wanted this war. It’s being accused of genocide for defending itself against Hamas, whose charter literally calls for the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jews everywhere. And still, the West gives them the microphone.

This conflict may be complex but the lies being spread are not. They are deliberate, malicious distortions that empower terrorists and endanger Jews worldwide. Every fake statistic. Every clickbait headline. Every viral video. Every cheer for Hamas. It all fuels a fire that is quickly burning out of control. We are not just watching a war—we’re watching a moral collapse. We are watching a civilization become so untethered from facts, history, and decency that it now cheerleads for terrorists and condemns the victims who survive them. And it’s not abstract. It has consequences. Real ones. For real people.

The signs are all there and it’s starting to look more and more like 1930’s Germany —except now, it’s global. Back then, the world claimed it didn’t know. Today, it does. There’s no excuse.

People need to wake up. The lies must be exposed and hatred confronted. The media must start reporting the actual facts and be held accountable for willfully disseminating lies. Governments need to crack down—hard—on hate speech, incitement, and terrorism. Jewish blood can no longer be spilled without consequence. As painful and demoralizing as it is, we cannot give up. We know all too well what happens when the world stands by in silence.
