Serial belittler and slanderer Joseph Mizrachi spoke this Shabbat in Jerusalem

He’s a top choice when you need to hear someone put down everyone

Joseph Mizrachi is infamous for pretending to sell Orthodox Judaism while many Orthodox Rabbis find his stories superficial nonsense and a threat to truth and innocent people. When you raise your voice against him, you can count on a personal attack with the worst forms of defamation. When I first blogged against him speaking in Israel, several of his followers wrote to me, from politely asking how I could write things like that to cursing me.

To my shock, our rabbi invited the man (some say he’s a rabbi) to speak in our shul. And he did. Here is a report of the things he said. I think I should just honestly report what I remember without my feelings. [I will add some clarifications between square brackets to highlight relevance and titles.]

Opening

Shabbat Shalom, [I decided not to look at him, the half-hour he spoke. Our Rabbis warn us not to look at the faces of wicked people. We don’t need to be able to imagine unimaginable wickedness.]

This Shabbat we will begin to read the Book of Exodus. [We actually started that the past Shabbat afternoon. He doesn’t go to shul besides Friday night and Shabbat morning? He should still know what happens in shul.]

Insulting Israel

Here we see a Pharaoh who refuses to acknowledge what the life-saving Joseph did for all of Egypt. The Torah doesn’t mention that he is a mass murderer who enjoys bathing in baby blood. The Torah explains that the worst is his lack of gratitude, worse than his mass murders. [That is not the basic exegesis here. It only reads Pharaoh’s misbehavior began with a lack of gratefulness, not that that was his worst behavior. In fact, it says later repeatedly that Pharaoh went from bad to worse. It baffles the mind how not thanking someone enough could be worse than mass murder.]

Joseph made the Levites in Goshen free from paying taxes or working. The USA learned from him. When you start a religious group there, you don’t pay city or income tax or anything. Unlike in Israel. [Speaking bad of Israel is the Sin of the Spies, one of the worst forms of Evil Speech. And that from a Jew who left Israel for the USA for money. He didn’t talk about personal hardships; he was speaking in general. That’s not a critic; that’s an enemy.]

Belittling the Holocaust, the Russians who Fought the Nazis

Make no mistake, Pharaoh was like Hitler, like Stalin. [Equating Hitler or the Holocaust always means belittling their evil. Stalin was a dictator, a mass murderer, and a hater of Jews who also imprisoned and killed scores of us. Yet, he did not execute a program to industrially eradicate all Jews. Moreover, he co-led one of the Allied countries against Hitler Germany. Their bravery cost them 27M lives! How dare he equate him to Hitler?]

Insulting Nazi Concentration Camp Inmates

Dotan and Aviram, as task maskers, were worse than their Egyptian bosses. Just like the Kapos. If you were in the Holocaust, you know who they were. They were inmates charged with oppressing the others. They hit the Jews worse than the Nazis. [Kapos were part of a vile system of setting prisoner against prisoner. How can he blame these powerless victims? How does he dare to judge and condemn them? Where is his proof that they were worse than the Nazis? I know where. Shocker alert. One of the top accused Nazi war criminals said so! He’s Mizrachic; why does he all the time bring up the Holocaust out of nowhere? Three times in this ‘sermon.’] They did so in the hope to find favor in the eyes of the Nazis. [This kind of libel could rob you of a share in the future world. Of course, these victims placed in-between only tried to survive, not to curry favor with the Nazis.]

Insulting Refugees, Blacks, and all Israeli Muslims and Russians

The trouble in Egypt started when we left Goshen and spread throughout the land. The role of any government is to keep foreigners separated. [The opposite is written in our Torah portion: The Egyptians oppressed us and as a result, we multiplied tremendously so that we had to spread out all over the land. Oppressing Jews always makes us stronger.] Some 150,000 illegal Sudanese, half of all of Tel Aviv, are now causing trouble. [The area of Tel Aviv has 4.5M inhabitants, the city 0.46M. At 150,000 illegal Sudanese, that would mean Sudanese refugees are 3% respectively a third, not 50%, 1 in 2. But, worse, presently, there are only 6,200 Sudanese migrants in Israel. If they would be all in Tel Aviv, that would be 0.14% to 1.3%, or 1 in 726 or 1 in 74. He greatly exaggerated (363 or 37 times).] The police are scared to enter Tel Aviv South. They have no business being here. But the High Court says they have rights. [Maybe racism is popular at his US tours but certainly not here. Can he tell the difference? He shows no empathy for refugees. Does he know about our refugee history? Jews should be kind, so this raises questions about his ancestry. Moses tells the Jews who escaped Egypt they cannot hate the Egyptians who enslaved them. How much more so we cannot abhor Blacks who did us no harm.]

This is on top of 2M Gentiles in Israel who hate us with a philosophy no different from the Nazis. [Of course, not all Goyim in Israel want to see us exterminated.] When their girls ensnare our boys, their children are not Jewish. Some of these girls are really innocently unaware of not being Jewish. [Much bigger problems are Rabbinic Courts unable, unwilling, or stopped from converting the many Israeli Russians who’d like and need that, and naïve girls ensnarled by sweet-taking traditional Muslim boys who take them to their villages. In the latter case, if violence starts, they have a hard time escaping. (I’m not talking about Jews and non-Jews who have a humane relationship.) Yes, their kids will be Jewish so, is the lot of these girls unimportant? Jewish females just exist to produce Jews?]

Does our Arch Enemy have Credit?

Abraham saved Lot. From that came Moab and Ammon. When these two Peoples refused to sell us some water and bread when we passed by from Egypt to Canaan, Jewish Law became that [men] with such ungratefulness can never convert to Judaism. But Amalekites can. [Amalek is our iconic enemy.] Amalek built the very tall gallows from which he and his sons were hung. Does that mean he could get credit for helping to wipe out Amalek? [Why does this question intrigue him? He’s so fascinated by wicked people that it’s scary. Of course, pondering this is ridiculous. The Sages already explain why G^d ridicules the Romarabans when, at the end of times, they come and claim a reward for the selfish things they did that led to the coming of the Messiah. Yes, G^d twists unholy actions for the better. But that doesn’t give merit to unintentional deeds by anti-Jewish regimes.]

[This time, he did not ‘put down’: former PM Bennett for being not Jewish; Non-Orthodox, female Holocaust victims for having no shame; leading Rabbis who reject him for being Gay lovers trying to destroy Judaism by introducing homosexuality; and Gay activists for being disgusting to G^d, that Iran is better than the West (where people get married to their dogs) because they execute homosexuals since they know right from wrong.]
