Serve Hashem with humor in your pocket
Purim is here, come on let’s cheer.
Put on your costume and funny wig.
Distribute mishlochei manot to all your friends
and eat haman-tashen that are yummy and big.
Purim is a holiday of doing good deeds.
We learn to do that from Esther the queen.
We give food to the poor and those in need
and wipe out Haman’s bad trait – the greed.
The main aspect of Purim – or so I feel,
the thing that speaks the most to me
is the feeling of happiness that’s true and real
it’s so nice to feel and also see.
We are faced with different choices in life;
some are harder than others, though.
Between good and bad and right or wrong
even taste in food is a choice, you know.
But even after choosing to serve Hashem,
to follow His commandments and sanctify His name,
you have another choice that stands in your way;
it’s how you serve Him every day.
You can serve Him being serious with a very straight face,
Sit around and mope and just do as you’re told.
Or you can follow the common human race
and choose the path that to me is worth gold.
Put a smile on your face and some humor in your pocket
and serve Hashem through happiness and fun.
Happiness is the key to long life and success
so laugh and go sanctify the Holy One!
HAPPY PURIM!!
