Simplified Jewishness: The Shema (#2) with ‘instructions’

Sharing another edited revised covid-diary extract of Feelings about our single most familiar six word declaration: The Shema; my own ‘translations’ → as six⇒lines/stanzas/or-long-though paragraphs; likewise -sometimes- appended another ‘version’ of those next whispered six words too ⇒ and assorted extraneous G?D? ideations. WHY: Since our ritual texts are never to become Mindless-Mechanical chants or readings. NOTE: labels for reference only.

Briefly Summarized: At Dawn. At Dusk. Before Brit’in’ing. Before Dying. On Awakening or Dozing On Arising or Reclining. – By Contemplating and Thinking When Learning and, if Teaching. — With Parsha then Siddur After Eating or Drinking. Thanking and Praising Asking then Listening – Meditating and Breathing are Our Feelings of Being. — Appreciating and Accepting Looking Kindly then, Maturing. When i was ‘just’ Growing up; and now: as i am Aging away! When speaking. When remembering. When deeply, rethinking.

‘My SHEMA’: (solitude prefix) Honestly ‘idunno’ …by reason that: There is always some degree of uncertainty, in every moment; some particularly evoking very-awesome profound doubts. For example, Awakening and Getting Up – for me, in those seconds, it is more clearly unknown that which today will bring; Laying Down to Sleep – includes my awareness that an awakening may never follow; My Deepening Study and Teaching My Children – for it is greatly amiss to neglect stressing our countless uncertainties; Upon Entering Brit Avrahum – for the appropriateness of The Name Given will bias his uncertainty, hopefully to help refinement; and surely eventually – at My Last Consciousness – for beyond all other, with timeless future impending, there could be some thankful clarity about the residual measures of my maturity-success – contributed to This World. → → {eyes – NOW – covered & closed} ⇒ LIVING ‘if-0nly’ …by FIRSTLY Appreciating the Loving Omnipresent; and thereafter Concentrating on all our actions – themselves – without distracting thoughts → to do them quickly or slowly – heartfelt without error ⇒ hence the great emphasis on PRE-MEDITATED INTENTION. To be thus, must include: Seeing the affirmative of all things; Taking great care in consistently articulating clear positive dignified speech; Elevating sentience to Behold Renewed Uniqueness – especially when traversing from one domain to another – that is at least when passing through a doorway or a gateway or an experience → which are each reminders – to Reawaken Consciousness – regarding all events – most especially the instant celebrations – such as Learning Torah, A Chuppah, and the process of Accomplishing each Mitzvah Opportunity; Building a Faithful Peaceful Household; Rejoicing in The Chagim – each being a continuity from the prior – as if the intervening days-weeks-months disappear; Remembering The Shabbat – for planning, details, concern, worry about basics – food, clothing, shelter – are as nought → and one may bask in a virtual certainty of Abundant Sanctity; and whenever sufficiently worthy, by ALL of these – modestly affirm – as Yisrael IS YOUR Chosen ⇒ if only We could be ‘Perfect and Complete’ – NOW – in this instant: totally knowingly, to accept that YOU are Our Exclusive Chosen ONE.

‘Pesach’: Seventy souls went down to Mitzraim, & while each had a name, collectively: We are called: Yisrael. → While our going down to Mitzraim was by combinations of choices & circumstances, it was Your will. → With each passing year, sojourning there was more awful, painful, hopeless; yet We remained Yours. → YOU brought us out from there “by a strong hand, an outstretched arm; by Terror, signs & wonders”. → YOU; not any angel. YOU; not by some awesome conflagration. YOU; not just by messenger. So that: → We, the Torah transferred to us as a gift by your faithful servant Moshe, & YOU may forever be ONE!

‘Repentance’: Neither day nor night. Neither light nor darkness. Pastels parade across the sky. – Stars look in. Eyes look up. Just the best moments for escape into namelessness. — Sands upon the seashore. Specks brighten & flicker. Faster than instant decisions. – How many commentaries crowding margins of our national discussion consensus? — Are YOU the same who loved me as a child? Are YOU the one who showed me a path? – Are YOU the unforeseen who revealed to me my mate? Are YOU my master tomorrow? — We have only done parts of your teaching. We have confused your sweet instructions. – We have been busied with frivolous delights. We too are as fleeting as the sun setting. — Unite Awaken Forgive Inspire Guide Help Save Redeem Return → Us as One – Recall Accept Cheer Favor Bless Hear Answer Love Believe ⇒ Us as One.

‘Arousal’: Looking out over my life-to-date with imperfect somewhat-foggy hindsight and thinking about the present moment and what may be my soon-to-be future, which is even less certain, it would have been better, but that is past, so now best to shut-and-shield my sight and meditate on trying to hear the wise counsel of the Scholars of My nation who are YOUR selected-and-sanctified first before all others, and to meditate upon bringing up from the marrow of my bones the good advice which is the Halacha, which had i been more diligent in my Torah learning, had i been more focused in my instruction attention, had i been more faithful to the timeless truth of it, then i would know it with a greater determination, yet given the frailty of my heretofore distracted humanity, and in the absence of whom, more grounded in the substance of it than my humble self, may it be in the merit of my parents, my rabbis, and all of our ancestors that YOU merge my consciousness into their consciousness, which is all but a part of YOUR consciousness, and therewith to guide my nature and our nature as YOU for all times are always guiding, and allow me to see, and to understand, and to do according to all that only YOU and Torah and Halacha and All that the peoples of Israel know to be best – so that my thoughts and my intentions and more importantly my speech and most importantly my actions be in harmony and with a perfect resonance of total continuity, thus proclaiming within and without the great awesome loving sanctity of our Union.

‘Chosen’: Changing Perspective: How to! Cover your closed eyes. Recite with a voice that you and another could Hear. → Carefully, listen to your own voice, to what you are saying, to what it really deeply means – alas totally New. → Try, Harder! Consider, rethink, remember. Tradition, family, wisdom. Halacha! Caution, search, ask. Believe. → Opening your two eyes now – so that you glimpse focus recognise realize see the whole world is uniquely One. ⇒ From an abundance of ideation to an abundance of realization to an abundance of actualization – YOU recognize →  Interconnected interdependency Of multiparametric complexity With infinite densities Of most wondrous details → Respectfully Sincerely Honorably Affirmatively Justly Magnanimously Temporarily Instantly Hopefully Memorably → I relax and allow myself to feel so slowly, my most delicate pause, then hearing an echo of my words I try softer ⇒ There is a quiet place, deep within the mind, where my inner voice stops to listen to all the other parts of my soul → Then understanding expectations of future as wasteful fantasies and most overthinking memories just lost bygones → Time suspends and Torah transcends, while Mitzvot intends with Maasim Tovim’s pleasurable end – In and Of itself → No more mission drifting. Enlightenment is everywhere. Ascending the 18 “benedictions” with a bitter 19th inside. ⇒ A dynamic equilibrium with a positive potential to mature from mundane to Kodesh within without among between → Flexible glue uniting ancestors’ deeds into living individuals aspiring toward improved peaceful social compromise → Primordial people, migrating since the ice age: first nomadic, then shepards, becoming pastoral, with real property → Many times returning to indigenous status. Transitioning out of Pre-History with Matan Torah! Thereafter a Nation. ⇒ Wonders of Wonders – Ineffable Unimaginable – Personal & Confidential – Private Public – Inner Outer – All not None → Layers of Insights – Sometimes Sedentary – Occasionally Volcanic – A Hive Mind – Consistent – Progressing & Thriving → Our collective genius of many unique individuals having sudden flashes with continuity from before counting of years → Gracious Loving Awe’ing Inspiring – Embracing Comforting Providing Sustaining – Teaching Guiding Advising Accepting ⇒ “With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive” → Far beyond “Liberté, Equalité, Fraternité” is “The Torah that directs us” Moshe; Our inheritance as Progeny of Yaakov → Of course Individual’s “Right: View, Resolve, Speech, Conduct, Livelihood, Effort, Mindfulness, Meditation” THEN ALSO → Collective Maturation – from generation to generation – progressing perfecting harmonizing refining OUR unity of GOOD.

‘GALUT’: Listen EVERYONE! EVERY-ONE: from ultra religious unto any ultra anti-religious. Yes, Everyone! — Do you “believe” in Technology? REALLY? Nothing to believe in – either it works OR it does not. ⇒ Halacha, the Real Halacha, is true to what is here & what is now; and NOT about anything symbolic. — Life Technology: avoiding risk & being practical – based on Millions of Lives; not a statistical sample. ⇒ On the one hand, We are at War with mental illness (exemplified by idolatry); On the other hand, We — passionately advocate: literacy, education, maturity, life cycle progress, physical health, celebration. ⇒ Torah translation is dilute and contradictory. Legislators today only very rarely include reason in Law. — Translation, at best, only captures a fragment of meaning; then, with time, migrates to very far away. ⇒ What was written? Why was it there? What is said? Why say it now? ALL Helping You to Live Life better. — A transgenerational genius consensus – forming a unified mind – of empathetic egalitarian sustainability. ⇒ Motivation is valid. Optimism is valid too. Individualism is usually valid. Modestly permits Awe & Love. — Noticing delicate asymmetry in every expanded boundary – a manifestation of a beautiful consistency.
