Stop Defending Terror: Hamas Is Not the Victim
Israel’s Moral Stand vs. Hamas’s Brutality: Why the West Must Wake Up
Despite overwhelming evidence of Hamas’s cruelty, much of the Western world continues to misjudge Israel, vilify its actions, and even call for the release of terrorists who have murdered Israeli soldiers. This moral inversion, where the aggressor is defended and the defender condemned, reveals a troubling failure to grasp the nature of the conflict and the values at stake.
The Atrocities of Hamas: Documented, Verified, and Ignored
On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a barbaric assault on Israel, murdering over 1,200 people, including children, women, and the elderly. Survivors of the Nova music festival recounted unimaginable horrors: rape, mutilation, and execution. These were not battlefield casualties, they were deliberate acts of terror.
Yet, instead of universal condemnation, many in the West questioned the accounts. Only after Hamas’s own bodycam footage surfaced did some skeptics acknowledge the truth. Independent investigations by Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and UN bodies confirmed systematic sexual violence, torture, and the use of civilians as shields.
The Media War: Hamas’s Mastery of Manipulation
Hamas has long understood that it cannot defeat Israel militarily. Instead, it wages war through propaganda. The so-called “Pallywood” industry stages scenes of suffering, children beside rubble, dramatic funerals, and false accusations, all designed to sway Western emotions.
One infamous example: the 2000 case of Muhammad al-Durrah, a boy allegedly killed by Israeli fire. Later investigations revealed the footage was manipulated, but the damage was done. In 2023, Hamas falsely blamed Israel for the Al-Ahli hospital explosion. Western media echoed the claim without evidence. Hours later, U.S. and European intelligence confirmed it was a misfired Palestinian rocket.
Israel, by contrast, provides forensic evidence, satellite imagery, and documented warnings. Yet its proof is dismissed as “spin,” while Hamas’s shaky phone clips dominate headlines.
The Tunnel Crisis: 200 Terrorists Trapped, the World Pleads for Mercy
As of November 2025, around 200 Hamas terrorists are trapped in tunnels on the Israeli-controlled side of Gaza’s Yellow Line, particularly in Rafah. These militants violated the ceasefire, killed Israeli soldiers, and now seek “safe passage” back to Hamas-held territory.
Israeli officials, including Defense Minister Israel Katz and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, have rejected these demands. “These terrorists deserve death,” Smotrich stated, emphasizing that releasing them would be “security and moral stupidity”.
Yet, international voices, including some Western media and NGOs, have called for their release, citing humanitarian concerns. This plea ignores the fact that these individuals murdered Israeli soldiers during a ceasefire. It’s a grotesque distortion of justice: killers are shielded, while their victims are forgotten.
Israel Helps the World And Gets Boycotted for It
While Hamas spreads terror, Israel contributes to global progress:
- Medical innovation: Israeli companies lead in cancer research, robotic surgery, and emergency response systems.
- Agricultural technology: From drip irrigation to desert farming, Israel helps feed millions in arid regions.
- Humanitarian aid: Israeli teams were among the first responders in disasters from Haiti to Turkey.
- Cybersecurity: Israeli firms protect global infrastructure from digital threats.
Despite these contributions, Israel faces boycotts, divestment campaigns, and academic exclusion. The BDS movement, active across Western campuses, seeks to isolate Israel economically and culturally, while ignoring Hamas’s crimes.
This paradox is staggering: the nation that heals, innovates, and defends democracy is punished, while a terror group that glorifies death is excused.
Cultural Blindness: Why the West Misjudges the Conflict
Western societies value compromise, empathy, and individual rights. But Hamas operates within a framework that glorifies martyrdom, collective honor, and domination. Civilians are not protected, they are weaponized.
Israel warns civilians before strikes, drops leaflets, and makes phone calls. Hamas fires rockets from schools and hospitals. Yet, when Israel responds, it is accused of “collective punishment.” This moral confusion stems from a refusal to recognize that not all cultures value life equally.
Even secular Arab societies carry tribal values rooted in centuries of Islamic influence: male authority, rejection of weakness, and glorification of martyrdom. These ideas fuel Hamas’s recruitment and ideology.
Arab States Know Hamas’s True Nature
Arab governments have distanced themselves from Hamas:
- Egypt closed its Rafah border, fearing infiltration.
- Jordan refused refugees, citing national security.
- Saudi Arabia privately warned the U.S. about Hamas’s extremism.
- UAE blamed Hamas for Gaza’s destruction.
These nations understand Hamas’s destabilizing influence. They remember Black September in Jordan (1970), Hamas’s smuggling operations in Sinai, and its ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Their silence speaks volumes.
Israel’s Fight Is Existential
Israel does not seek war, it seeks survival. Surrounded by enemies, it has endured decades of rocket attacks, suicide bombings, and diplomatic isolation. Yet it remains a beacon of democracy, innovation, and resilience.
Hamas kills because it chooses to. Israel fights because it must.
The 200 terrorists trapped in Rafah are not victims, they are perpetrators. They violated a ceasefire, murdered soldiers, and now hide beneath hospitals and schools. Demanding their release is not humanitarianism, it is complicity.
Conclusion: The West Must Choose
The West must stop projecting its values onto a region that rejects them. It must recognize that Israel is not the aggressor, it is the last line of defense against barbarism. Every time the world doubts Israel, it empowers cruelty.
Accountability lies with Hamas. Israel deserves support, not suspicion. The choice is clear: stand with civilization or enable terror.
