Strengthening Our Voice: The Importance of Voting in the World Zionist Congress

Last week, during a panel at Park East Synagogue in New York City, we gathered to discuss the significant opportunity presented by voting in the upcoming elections for the World Zionist Congress. This election, which occurs only once every five years, is our chance to have our voices heard in Israel by voting online from America and to make an impact in Jewish communities worldwide.
As an Israeli who won the Miss Universe Israel Netanya 2024 title and has volunteered with various organizations—including the World Zionist Congress in New York—I encourage Jews in America to participate in online voting to support the vibrancy of Zionism.
In the 2025 U.S. elections for the 39th World Zionist Congress, 22 slates will be competing, each representing a mosaic of political beliefs, religious denominations, and cultural traditions. These slates will vie for the opportunity to determine the makeup of the 152 U.S. representatives to the Congress. The diversity among our slates reflects the richness of our Jewish community, and it is essential that we engage in this process.
At the panel, I was deeply moved by the impactful speeches. Yaakov Hagoel, the chairman of the World Zionist Organization (WZO), united a diverse group of individuals focused on bolstering the state of Israel. Representatives from End Jew Hatred also shared their perspectives on antisemitism and its implications for our voting in the Jewish Zionist Congress, emphasizing the importance of every vote.
Yaakov Hagoel, shared a vital message at the event: “Every Jew has the right to reside wherever they choose. While it would be heartening to see many return to Israel, the decision rests with each individual. In the interim, it is the duty of local governments to ensure the security and safety of all Jews.”
Brooke Goldstein, the founder and executive director of the Lawfare Project, highlighted the necessity of defending the Jewish people, their civil rights, and our shared values. She encouraged the audience to vote for slate number 15 in support of pro-Jewish advocacy in the Zionist Congress.
The significance of this upcoming election cannot be overstated. It represents a crucial moment for all Jews to unite, advocate for our rights, and shape the future of our communities, reinforcing both our Jewish identity and our freedom, both globally and in Israel.
