Surviving surviving: A responsibility beyond just remembering

I believe one of the top responsibilities we as Jews, no we as people is to make it our business to end the suffering that a devastating number of Survivors are experiencing today and that is living in poverty.

How can we sleep at night when we absolutely know now we can help these precious people. Part of the challenge is that many will not ask for help because they don’t want to admit to themselves that they are in this position again. That is just one point that comes out in a riveting documentary I posted below called “Surviving Surviving” produced a few years ago by my son when he was in 8th grade.

Take a bit of time to witness one of today’s greatest tragedies, one that this time we can do something about it.
