Thank You America…Well Done!

We here in Israel see miracles every day and for those of us who believe that the God of Israel will watch over us, clearly that has been the case since the beginning of our mission to eliminate the possibility of Iran ever having a nuclear weapon.

For those who need reminding, the Mullahs in Iran have, ever since assuming power in 1979, vowed to destroy Israel and the Jewish people. As if that was not enough of a threat, they termed us the Little Satan and America the Big Satan making it obvious that after they finish us off America is next.  To achieve this goal they were developing the capability to produce nuclear weapons, something that no peace loving nation of the world should be willing to tolerate.

The Torah is clear that if an enemy come to slay you, you have an obligation to slay them first and this is what has propelled our government to take action 10 days ago and begin the demolition of Iran’s capability to create a nuclear weapon.

We knew what the stakes were in taking this action and we here in Israel have been subjected to multiple barrages of ballistic missiles as well as drone and UAV attacks on a regular basis.  Thankfully, while there has been some significant destruction here, there have been mimical casualties although quite a few injuries. Just the fact that all of this has been kept to a minimum proves to us beyond a shadow of a doubt that the God of Israel is watching over us and protecting us.

But some miracles are bigger than others.  Last Wednesday, for some reason, a government official here ordered the evacuation of the surgical wing of Soroka Hospital in Beersheba.  He was not sure why he chose that building.  Nevertheless, the following morning an Iranian ballistic missile scored a direct hit on Soroka Hospital and the building that suffered the most damage was the very surgical wing that had been evacuated the day before.  Say what you will but….

While our defense forces have been able to do significant damage to Iran’s nuclear complex, we all knew that the final blow would be impossible to achieve without the 30,000-pound bunker busting bombs which only the US military had.  We also knew that only America had aircraft capable of delivering that kind of a payload.

Once again, we awoke this morning to the news that President Trump had authorized six B-2 bombers to drop a dozen 30,000-pound bunker buster bombs on the Fordo nuclear site, which lies deep underground, while US Navy submarines fired 30 TLAM cruise missiles at the Natanz and Isfahan sites. One B-2 also dropped two bunker busters on Natanz, according to US sources.

For that action on President Trump’s part, we can only be grateful as we know this was the only way the Iranian threat could be neutralized.

To be sure there are already voices in the US saying, correctly by the way, that the President does not have the right to bring the country into war as only the US Congress can do that.  However, there are times in the history of humanity when the threat to mankind is so great that decisive executive action is necessary and today was one of those moments.

We here in Israel, in cooperation with today’s dramatic move by the US, have done a service to mankind by defanging a country whose aim is to destroy everything the west represents, regardless of the cost to humanity.  We have done the world’s dirty work and for that we should be thanked.  We could not have done it without US assistance and for that, we are grateful.

We believe that the God of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.  Blessed is the name of the Lord to whom we give praise.
