The Day After – Part I, Gaza
This war will not last forever. No war lasted forever. But it is equally true that it is taking much longer time than anyone has expected, anyone. The continuation of the war is on the benefit of only one person: Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. As long as the war is going on, he will never face trials and the Netanyahu-Ben-Gvir regime will continue for several more year. Tens of thousands of Palestinians will be killed by the Israeli army; hundreds of thousands will die of pandemics and hunger; thousands of Israeli soldiers will be killed by Hamas and the Israeli economy will collapse. But human lives and Israel’s health are almost the only things that Netanyahu-Ben-Gvir do not care of. Stay tuned for part II.
No matter how long this war will last, Hamas has already came out of it victorious. The terror organization already achieved its major goals. First, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is now pure religious, not national. This means that from now on, the conflict is between Hamas and Smotrich-Ben-Gvir. Secular forces on both sides are not relevant anymore. Second, the shocking shift in the Israeli public opinion to fascism ensures the continuation of the violent conflict, which is the ultimate goal of Sinwar-Smotrich-Ben-Gvir axis. Third, poverty, misery, frustration and hatred that this war intensified by hundreds of folds, will secure the position of Hamas as people’s choice in Gaza and most likely in the West Bank. Watch this horrific clip of Palestinian children chanting hate against Jews (starts 3:19).
So, the day after will come, sooner or later, and the major issue will be who will pay/restore Gaza. The only logical positive answer is that the supporter of the minor terrorist organization of Hamas will be the major terrorist state of Qatar. This country transferred hundreds of millions of dollars to Gaza, with the very generous help of Netanyahu, and it has already declared that this support will continue. Qatar was and still is the financial source of ISIS: the USA created this terror organization, Qatar paid and Erdogan of Turkey protected. Did anyone feel shocked of Erdogan’s support of Hamas? And as a side note, the state of Israel should have never allowed money transfer from Qatar to Arab municipalities in Israel for the construction of various facilities such as the Doha stadium in Sakhnin. It is obvious that Israel will not allow such transfer from Iran, so why allow it from Qatar?
And mentioning Iran, the relationships between this country and Hamas are very interesting. On the one hand, Iran is the major supplier of weapons and cyber capabilities of Hamas. On the other hand, Iran never supported civil needs of Gazans, such as hospitals, schools and infra structure. For Iran, Hamas and all Gazans, are tools for testing its weapons against Israel. This is to say, Israel and Hamas are “Let’s have some of the young men get up and fight hand to hand in front of us” (II Samuel, 2, 14).
As for other Arab countries, none will significantly donate to the restoring of Gaza. Egypt, Syria, Jordan and many other Arab countries are very poor and desperately struggling to maintain their food. Moreover, some of the Arab countries have already experienced the treacherous behavior of Palestinians in general and Palestinian leadership in particular. They betrayed Jordan and Lebanon people, robbed and raped. They supported ISIS against the Syrian army. And worst example was the (in)famous hug of Arafat to Saddam Hussein, a mega-terrorist to blood thirsty dictator, after the occupation of Kuwait by Iraq in 1990.
In a reasonable world, Europe and the entire international community should not invest a penny in the reconstruction of Gaza, because the money will be stolen by Hamas leaders who live luxurious lives abroad. If donations are to be made, the international community must impose very strict control on the spendings in order to make sure that they are used for civil needs and not for weapon purchase and tunnels construction.
Obviously, Israel should invest a shekel in the restoration of Gaza since Israel needs huge resources to restore itself. In this context, it is important to say that Arab citizens of Israel must refrain from donating to Gaza as long as Hamas is ruling there. We have already warned that this terror organization is attacking its own people and not only Israel. The terror attack on October 7, 2023, validated this statement: the terror organization took Arabs/Muslims as hostages. So, being an Arab/Muslim means nothing for Sinwar and his blood thirsty terrorists. So, let Qatar care for them, or in the words of Rudyard Kipling “let the wolf look for the dog” (The Jungle Books, chapter 13: The Red Dog).
