The Devil Made Me Do It – It’s Always Someone Else’s Fault
The terrorist who confessed to raping a Jewish woman on October 7, stole the “Devil Made Me Do It” line from the late American comedian, Flip Wilson: “The devil took over me, I laid her down, started undressing her, and did what I did.”
Mimicking a quintessential Nazi had he been born at a different time and place, the terrorist’s confession is analogous to what is described in The Kindly Ones, a new novel about the Holocaust from the Nazi perpetrators’ perspective: “’What I did,’ we read in the first pages, ‘I did with my eyes open, believing that it was my duty and that it had to be done, disagreeable or unpleasant as it may have been. For that is what total war means: there is no such thing as a civilian, and the only difference between the Jewish child gassed or shot and the German child burned alive in an air raid is one of method.’”
The novel’s author “wants us to understand that it’s extremely difficult, even arbitrary, to meaningfully separate the culpable from the innocent — in the Nazi genocide and in others.” Why do too many Americans, even Americans born Jewish, support the Hamas terrorists and, as Biden and Blinken just did, attack Israel for Israel’s error in the unfortunate killing of some non-UNRWA aid workers in Gaza? Israel apologized. Everyone needs to accept that civilians will die in any war. Violence was “the very basis upon which the [Nazi] society rests” and there can be no doubt after October 7 that violence is the very basis upon which Hamas’s Islamo-Fascism rests. Hamas will never apologize for their violence.
Despite the Hamas violence and hostages held for six months, Biden is imposing on Israel what Biden would never tolerate being imposed on his regime. “The US and other allies have made it increasingly clear to Israel that continued support for the war on Hamas depends on Israel allowing and facilitating aid to Gaza’s civilian population.”
Where is the demand by Biden or Blinken that aid to Gaza is conditioned on Hamas releasing all hostages and surrendering? Biden, Blinken, Sanders and other Jewish Democrats callously use this existential war for Israel’s survival to call for regime change in Israel. Benny Gantz has now joined these calls for regime change. Bibi and Israelis must tell Biden what the U.S. would have told Israel if Israel had called for new elections during the Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan or other U.S. wars the U.S. chose to lose.
The Hamas excuses and lies are countless. Hamas rejects responsibility for October 7. “Hamas said it was ‘a necessary step and a normal response to confront all Israeli conspiracies against the Palestinian people’. . . . If there was any case of targeting civilians; it happened accidentally and in the course of the confrontation with the occupation forces. . . . The . . . reasons that led to the attack [were] . . . Israel’s campaign of settlements’ construction ‘and Judaization of the Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem’, and the killing of thousands of Palestinian civilians from 2000 until this year.” Did anyone else know the Nova Festival was an “occupation force”? Have the Hamas suicide bombings and other attacks on Israeli civilians been erased from history?
Hamas wants all Israelis dead or gone from Israel, just like the Nazis wanted all Jews dead or gone from Europe. “Ghazi Hamad of the Hamas political bureau said in an October 24, 2023 show on LBC TV (Lebanon) that Hamas is prepared to repeat the October 7 ‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ Operation time and again until Israel is annihilated. . . . Israel is a country that has no place on our land. We must remove that country, because it constitutes a security, military, and political catastrophe to the Arab and Islamic nation, and must be finished.” Don’t believe Hamas? Read Hamas’s own “River to the Sea” words.
The mindset of a terrorist taking no personal responsibility for his rape, and Hamas blaming Israel for Hamas’s atrocities, is commonplace in the U.S. where the victim nowadays becomes the perpetrator:
- Thugs who steal from, harm or kill people at gas stations are not at fault because the gas station owners have not done enough to prevent the criminal acts. “St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones announced a desire to hold gas stations accountable for crime and violence.” The same has been said about other retailers. “Self-checkouts to blame for middle-class shoplifting, says M&S chairman.” No fault theft.
- Killers are never at fault because it is always the gun’s fault. “That gross racial discrepancy is not about ‘gun violence’ but about a culture of violence Democrats continue to perpetuate with policies that have, generationally, resulted in broken families — the number one indicator for violence — and that, in effect, keep their constituents enslaved on Demo urban poverty plantations.” No fault murder.
- Psychological or mental issues are to blame. “Of the 38 people charged with 41 separate assaults on transit system employees, 20 of them had documented psychological problems, according to a Post investigation.” One commentator said: “It’s not mental illness that has played a role in these attacks. It’s chronic drug/alcohol addiction that damages peoples’ brains to the point where they are manifesting mental illness- like symptoms. I’ve worked with the homeless for 31 years. It’s a rare person who suffers from stand-alone mental illness.” No fault drug or alcohol abuse.
- “[W]hen someone black says . . . ‘I’m worse off because of slavery,’ there’s no way in hell you can say that with a straight face. If you’re going to base reparations on the difference between where blacks today would be if it were not for slavery, then blacks would have to pay reparations to white people. . . . Mr. Sowell . . . says their real agenda is the confiscation and redistribution of wealth. . . . Someone once said that people on the political left think that they would do what God would do if he were as well-informed as they are. . . Many intellectuals with high accomplishments seem to assume that those accomplishments confer validity to their notions about a broad swath of issues ranging far beyond the scope of their accomplishments.” Slavery made me do it.
Is anyone else sick and tired of the blame Israel crowd? “Israel is the only country in the world whose right to exist continues to be debated.” “When the leadership of this ally [Israel] does not agree to fulfill the demands of its ‘patron,’ this [Biden] administration demands a change of power in Israel, as if it were a vassal obliged to respect the suzerain’s interests more than its own. . . . The U.S. demands that Israel abide by rules of war that it itself has never abided by and will never abide by. They demand from Israel superhuman care for the civilian population of Gaza, which they themselves could not honor. They blithely forget that they make all these highly moral demands not out of any moral concern, but out of a desire to come to power in the November 2024 elections.”
If President Trump wins and Biden (or his replacement) loses, Democrats, including Democrat Jews, will blame Israel. Between now and the 2024 U.S. election, Biden and Blinken, Sanders and other Democrat Jews will continue to disparage Israel and interfere with Israel’s war effort. They will also move mountains, at Israel’s expense, to do a deal with Saudi Arabia that President Trump was unable to complete. Because the Biden Administration lacks any accomplishments, these realities make it all the more imperative for Israel to end its internal circular firing squad and implement its Rafah plans, find the hostages dead and alive, and kill the remaining Hamas fighters and leadership in Gaza. Once that is accomplished, Israel can deal with “the day after” from a position of internal and external strength.
