The liberal democracies betraying Israel and paving the road to hell for themselves

The Western countries of liberal democracies betraying the only democracy in the Middle East, the State of Israel, and, simultaneously, creating a path to hell for themselves, mirroring the meaning of the saying: “The road to hell is paved with good intentions”.

Just after the horrific October 7 Hamas’s attack on Israel, the reaction of the Western democracies was appropriately negative towards the Islamist aggressors. To react otherwise would be an insult to basic decency. It was an act of indescribable brutality with 1200 people killed, infants burned, girls raped, bodies of murdered mutilated and 251 Israeli citizens were taken to Gaza as hostages.

There were voices from the left liberal extreme, following the Marxist ideology of struggle between oppressed and oppressors, saying that this is a legitimate response of the Palestinian resistance movement to the Israeli oppression. Nevertheless, the governments of Europe, United States and Canada were expressing sympathy to Israeli tragedy.

The support for Israel lasted not too long.

Just couple of months after Israel begun actions to eliminate the inhuman Islamic cult called Hamas and made effort to release the hostages from captivity, the governments of Western democracies started campaign for implementing ceasefire between Israelis and Palestinians. These initiatives were always justified by the suffering of the Gazan population and based on the number of casualties from the Israeli air strikes. The statistics of victims were usually provided by the report of Hamas authorities. These accounts did not distinguish between militant fighters and civilians and the Hamas’s Ministry of Health was inflating number of casualties. The fraudulent and misleading civilian deaths in Gaza represent a propaganda tool of the entities hostile to Israel, such as Hamas, to isolate the Jewish state on the international scene by employing false accusation of genocide.

Now, close to two years from the unimaginable brutal assault on the Israeli sovereignty, there is a movement among Western liberal democracies to legalize the Palestinian state.

Both propositions, the ceasefire between Israelis and Palestinians and recognition of the Palestinian state are beneficial to Hamas whose ideology is based on the teachings of unrepentant enemy of the Western civilization, the Muslim Brotherhood.

By creating a new charter in 2017, Hamas tried to soften the Covenant of 1988, based on the teaching of Muslim Brotherhood, calling for complete eradication of the Jewish state and Jews. The core beliefs of the new document remain the same. It was confirmed by their actions during the October 7 attack. The new charter of 2017 states that Hamas’s fight is not with Jews or Judaism but with Zionists colonizers. When invading Israel on October 7 the terrorists were killing and mutilating corpses of idealistic peaceniks-the Jews whose only goal was to achieve the peace with neighboring Gazans. The kibbutzim, such as Nir Oz and Be’eri located a walking distance from Gaza border, were stronghold of leftist peaceniks who believed in a two-state solution and peaceful coexistence with Palestinians. Many surviving residents of bordering kibbutzim are realizing of being naïve. The brutality of Gazans, not only Hamas militants but civilians as well, changed their worldview.

The Western liberal democracies by calling for ceasefire between Israelis and Palestinians are providing the murderous terrorist organization Hamas with the opportunity to regroup and continue their indiscriminate killing, torture and kidnapping of Jews. For the civilian population of Gaza this period of quiet is not useful retreat from the troubles of war. During the ceasefire Hamas will employ its usual tactics of using food and fuel as incentive to keep the people of Gaza under their control.

Don’t the leadership of Great Britain, France, Canada and other European democracies realize that by recognizing Gaza and West Bank as a legitimate state they are praising the blatant aggression on the sovereign state and reward Hamas, the terrorist organization?

The open-door policy of unrestricted immigration of European Union can be equated with suicide which confirms the meaning of the saying:” The road to hell is paved with good intentions”.

Let’s take a look who are these immigrants and are they able to accept the values of liberal democracies?

I will never forget the images, while watching TV in 2015, of the endless river of young men, and not a woman among them, moving towards Europe. The chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, opened Germany’s borders to 1.5 million refuges escaping the wars in Syria and Iraq. Although chancellor stated ‘Wu schaffen das’ (We can do it), Germany did not have a plan how to register the refuges, to verify their identity and provide housing. Most of all, Germany did not have a strategy to help the newcomers, who were born and formed their worldview in the Islamic culture with beliefs and ethics completely different from European. It was easy and logical to foresee that they can have difficulties to accept and absorb the values of liberal Western civilization. Many of the mentioned above men, using the humanistic policy of reunification of the families, are increasing the number of newcomers with need of integration into foreign for them culture.

Gulden Hennemann, political scientist, head of Central Coordination Office for Measures against Extremism in Bavarian prison system, Germany, notes:” “Even though Muslim antisemitism has increasingly become a problem in the wake of the refugee movements since 2015 and, combined with other psychological factors, provides fertile ground for Islamist radicalization, this should not obscure the fact that Islamists have been systematically building their networks, and increasing their influence in Europe, especially since the 1980s,” and “We have thus had a growing European Islamism for decades, which is nourished by Islamist groups and movements -especially the Muslim Brotherhood- through anti-democratic, antisemitic and anti-Western narratives. Islamist organizations are often shielded by the freedom of expression and religion guaranteed by democratic laws.”

The above statements by the Gulden Hennemann, a political scientist and expert on Extremism in Germany, are confirmed by the recent alarming news from Canada and France.

The Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP) reveals troubling presence and increasing influence of Muslim Brotherhood related organizations in the Canadian political, civil, academic and financial areas. “These Canada-based organizations (affiliated with Muslim Brotherhood) have been allowed to grow and spread radical Islamist ideology, often benefiting from federal funding while doing so.”

In France, the report prepared by two senior civil servants, provides evidence of ‘entryism’ by Muslim Brotherhood into France’s schools and local governments. As French official stated: “entryism means getting involved in republican infrastructure… in order to change it from the inside.” The report named the Federation of Muslims in France (FMF) as the main source of spread of Muslim Brotherhood propaganda.

Considering the disturbing trends described above and the growing number of the Muslims in the countries of liberal democracy, there is a real possibility of the social and political collapse of many European states in not so far away future-proving the validity of the saying: “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.”
