“Abba”
A Poem for all of Hashem’s Children
The little girl and boy stood there and cried
The little boy and girl gazed with their eyes
The little girl and boy watched as their world crumbled
The little boy and girl pleaded and they were ignored
The little girl and boy continue to feel
Even though they were violated and misunderstood
The little boy and girl lied to feel and get attention
The little girl and boy had a tantrum in an attempt to gain
some control
The little girl and boy shed tears of sorrow as their world
passed them by
The little girl and boy fell down , only to pick themselves up again
and again and again and again
The little boy and girl continued to exist even though the world
to continued to live
The little girl and boy wondered will they ever find happiness?
The little girl and boy were no longer little, but mature in years
The little girl and boy grew and so did their fears
The little girl and boy with all the faith and strength
and hope in their heart continued to fight for their
freedom and dignity
Even when their physical eyes could
Only see despair
There intention and motivation for their struggle
And their strength and courage to keep on going
Even when some days were unbearable
was
Like all little girls and boys
to be able to live in a world where
Peace and harmony and safety was given to all
of G-ds little children
Young and mature in years
so they could have a life worth living
First ending :
But at last the struggle took its toll on the little girl and little boy
And the little boy and girl died and so did their tears
Second Ending:
But at last the struggle took their toll on the little girl and boy
But because they were faithful servants to the Almighty
The creator up above in Shamayim / Heaven
And their actions and prayers and thoughts were diligent
with their unwavering trust and faith in his will
and power
Both the little boy and girl were able to overcome all of
their collective obstacles and struggles
And triumph over their fears!
This gave them both
The courage and bravery to share their recovery and hope with
other of the creators children from all faiths and creeds
So all of Hashem’s children could find and claim
Peace and happiness and love and in their lives to and
live in harmony in
Brotherhood and Sisterhood forever more
They way the Holy One planned it would be
Amen!
The End!

Refuat Hanefesh:
I was a contributing author for this Jewish online organization dedicated to creating a Jewish community that is more aware and empathetic toward mental health recovery especially during the Pandemic.
My goal as a artist and a advocate has been to support all of the Jewish people to view mental health , mental illness, and types of addiction as a trauma response directly related to all of our intergenerational trauma.
My hope has always been share my story with all of my sisters and brothers of the Jewish faith as a way to empower, support and encourage all of us to do our best by working hard to forgive ourselves and love ourselves and be kind to ourselves so we can serve Hashem with joy and happiness they way he wants us to. Only Hashem is perfect and we are human.
My prayer has always been to work along side all of my Jewish family and the Jewish communities from all sectors of our faith so we can continue to use all of our gifts and talents that Hashem gave us, and that each one of us possesses as "One " "אֶחָד" !!!
This way each and everyone of the Jewish people will be able to serve Hashem now and forevermore only with joy and happiness and no more suffering.
May the Melech Halom "The King of the world "and our "Father in Heaven" have Rachmonus "Mercy and compassion" on us on all the Jewish peoples collective suffering as one and may he look down from Heaven favorably and accept all of our heartfelt prayers for good only.

" A Reynah in Exile" also known as Hidden in Plain Site.
I was inspired to use a allegoric style of filmmaking as the motif and backdrop for my short film that is taken by one of my favorite prayers found in the Siddur "The Jewish Prayer book" called
"Shir Hashirim " שִׁיר הַשִּׁירִים"
This is one of our Tefillot we say on.שַׁבָּת "Shaboos Kodesh "
which can be found in our Friday night prayers service in our Siddur.
