Soon we will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, and there is truly a magical and ingenious element to this that I wanted to share with you.

Rosh Hashanah is the time when we celebrate the creation of the world, which according to Jewish tradition will be 5,780 years ago.

Every year, Rosh Hashanah occurs on the 1st (Aleph) and 2nd (Bet) days of the Hebrew month of Tishrei.

If you take the letters of Aleph and Bet and Tishrei in Hebrew, it is exactly equivalent to the letters in the Hebrew word for Genesis (Bereshit).

In the Hebrew letters then the time on the calendar for Aleph and Bet Tishrei = the event of creation of the world, which we celebrate yearly on Rosh Hashahah.

If you think about this incredible Kabbalistic interpretation, we can truly see the magic in the ancient Hebrew language and the thousands of year-old teachings of the holy Torah.

Truly, this magical genius evident in the Torah can only be from one source and that is the one Creator and Sustainer of the Universe, Himself!

Let me take this opportunity to wish everyone a truly magical Rosh Hashanah and one that is filled G-d’s mercy and blessings for a happy, healthy, prosperous, and peaceful New Year!
