Six years and seventy-one court hearings and trials, Malka the monster of Melbourne is being prepared for her over-due extradition from Israel to Australia to face seventy-four charges of sexual child abuse against her several years ago before her flight to her home in Israel.
Pretending mental disabilities the monster of Melbourne was aided by the criminal hands of the ultra-orthodox in Israel, in particular, Rabbi Litzman, former Minister of Health.
He persuaded or bribed medical doctors and psychiatrists to declare her unfit to stand trial. Their criminal efforts to prevent justice in the many trials has only recently been averted.
Malka Leifer is now awaiting arrangements for her extradition to Australia where she will be put on trial for her crimes in a Melbourne court.
The six year delay was an absolute shame and disgrace for Israeli justice and the good-will of Australia toward Israel has been badly damaged as a result. Both the Australian Jewish community, Zionist Federation, and the secular Australian population have loudly condemned the Israeli courts and the ultra-orthodox leaders who tried desperately to free Leifer from extradition.
The victims of her sexual abuses in Melbourne are smiling with much joy and great relief that their long-time accusations against monster Malka have finally brought them their long-sought justice .
Leifer had gone to Australia to teach in an all-girls yeshiva and ultimately became the head-mistress. This position afforded her the criminal opportunity of meeting young girls in secluded areas of the school and physically abusing them.
She had always denied the accusations against her but the victims’ charges were believed by the Australian courts who issued an order for her arrest which led her to flee the country and return to her home in Israel.
She lived quietly for a number of years feigning mental illness until she was caught on camera outside in the public arena pursuing normal activities.
Upon her arrest, her ultra-orthodox family appealed to the health minister, Rabbi Litzman, urging him to use his political powers to free her. At that point, he turned to a number of religious psychiatrists seeking their help in defending her claim of mental disability, thereby reasoning that she was unfit to stand trial.
The deceit was eventually made clear and Malka Leifer, the monster of Melbourne, was put on trial and was found guilty of all seventy-four charges against her.
The decision to extradite her to Australia was unanimous. It will be appealed by her lawyers but it is commonly believed that the appeal will be denied. The courts in Melbourne are prepared for her extradition and await her arrest upon arrival to stand the long-awaited trial.
It is a pity, I believe, that Rabbi Litzman cannot be punished for his illegal efforts to pervert justice. Had he acted impartially in the name of justice, the problem could have been resolved several years ago without shame to the Israeli justice system. Malka the monster could have been in an Australian prison by now and justice could have been served wisely and well.
Minister Litzman has prostituted the biblical concern for justice:
“Tzedek tzedek tirdof”. Justice and righteousness shalt thou pursue”.
The Litzman translation is “Mi tzedek, mi tzedek tivrach”. From justice and from righteousness shalt thou flee”.
But for Malka Leifer, the monster of Melbourne, her only flight is on a plane back to Melbourne and jail.
The unhappy case of the trial of the monster has been a monstrosity in Israel’s legal system.
