Curiously, many of yesterday’s exploiters are today accused of being slave owners simply for exploiting their fellow man… or not. Most of the time, people only talk about the victim’s skin color, origin, culture or identity. It becomes news, a scandal worthy of the latest Netflix production, whenever it’s a white man enslaving a black man…

But this colonial revenge reflects a much deeper spiritual issue. The pursuit of profit—that Golden Calf of capitalism—led people to look for the ignorant, the illiterate, the stupid or the desperate… Sure, you can add or remove adjectives to define who gets shafted doing those heavy, dirty and difficult jobs, simply because there was nobody else willing to do them. It was their turn, because of their natal chart, destiny… Or whatever.

So the real question is this: why was someone hired who didn’t belong to Europe? That person wanted to “save money” by hiring a non-European instead of a white worker because “he” could supposedly endure the sun better or had better physical conditions for certain kinds of labor, such as working the cotton fields… Yet those tears shed yesterday are exactly the ones echoing today in all those graffiti that casually label any historical figure a slave owner, without context, whether he was a politician or a businessman. Same old chant. Same spiritual ignorance.

Because once you study the laws of reincarnation, tikún and Vertical Astrology, you begin to understand why today it is one person and not another who receives a particular burden. It is measure for measure, justice applied, consciously or not. Whoever killed yesterday is the slave today, and tomorrow the opposite may happen. And no, I didn’t invent Cain’s myth. It’s right there in the Torah.

Then comes the funny part. Tikún shows that a follower of the Golden Calf, by trying to assign someone else a karma that was never theirs—through chains, the sword or the rifle—ends up forcing that person to carry out a task that never belonged to them in the first place. But the debt doesn’t disappear. Yesterday’s tears become today’s reparations.

Neither does capitalism’s so-called efficient allocation of resources hold up when capital, power or brute force push a present-day slave into a place that was never theirs to occupy. But Soviet central planning didn’t solve the problem either, pretending that the State could correctly assign every individual to their proper place. Both systems fail for exactly the same reason: neither one knows the true tikún of a single soul.

Because for the contemporary left, forgiveness doesn’t exist; only perpetual guilt does—a deeply Christian concept. The God of the Torah, on the other hand, knows what you did, what you’re doing and what you’ll do, yet still allows you to keep living. Then you die and reload your soul, forgetting the screw-ups from your previous life, because guilt is probably one of the most toxic emotions there is. It freezes the individual… and eventually freezes an entire civilization.

And aren’t we living in a frozen society already? A civilization where debate is denied, certain thoughts are forbidden, certain beliefs are silenced. They call it hate speech, denialism, heresy, or even thought crime. Everything Orwell denounced in 1984, except he never realized it was ultimately a theological question of spiritual balances, debts and repayments a perfect, exact accounting system. The Vertical Astrology, in my own terms.

Now, that doesn’t mean I believe we live in a fair, wonderful or perfect society. Obviously, I have my own debts to settle, just like everyone else. But once you understand how human belief gets twisted in the pursuit of greater profit, forcing someone else to carry a tikún that was never theirs, you also understand why that debt eventually comes back—with interest. It falls outside the natural balance, outside that Vertical Astrology that returns every soul to the master line it was always meant to follow.

Because the real Golden Calf was never just the myth of a golden statue. It was turning profit into a god. The moment capital takes Hashem’s place, your fellow man stops being a fellow man and becomes nothing more than a tool. That’s where every form of slavery begins. Race becomes completely irrelevant before such a profound theological problem.

This doesn’t mean that those with a poorer relationship with God, or those who ignore the universal laws, get a free pass to rule through clubs, hatred or the destruction of a society’s values based on someone’s skin color. Let’s be blunt: nowadays it sometimes seems as if some people are expected to obey every law simply because they’re white, while others are excused from obeying any of them at all. The irony is watching who fills the prisons and who claims the right to tear them down, while the Hebrews’ escape remains the natural equation.

Because the system itself is built on two lines that eventually meet. The first is a Baal-State, becoming more totalitarian every day: digital currency, cameras, drones, artificial intelligence and every imaginable form of surveillance over the citizen. The second is a civilization that must constantly import new slaves to keep the Golden Calf standing. Skin color, culture, values… none of that really matters. The only thing that matters is that there’s always someone willing to keep making bricks for Global Pharaonic Egypt.

The absurd part is that both lines believe they’re solving each other’s problems, when in reality they’re heading straight toward a collision. The greater the social fragmentation brought about by cultural diversity, the greater the need for state control. And the greater the control, the more obvious it becomes that social cohesion no longer rests on a shared identity, but on fear and surveillance. At that point, loyalty to the system collapses.

Because that’s the real paradox of Egypt. Pharaoh needs slaves to build his empire, but he also needs soldiers to keep those slaves under control. He needs the Golden Calf to attract new hands, while at the same time raising ever stronger Iron Baals to stop the whole structure from collapsing.

That’s why the Torah’s myth is more alive today than ever. Moses doesn’t destroy Pharaoh through a political revolution. He destroys the suicidal equation. He takes Israel out of the very system that simultaneously feeds both the Golden Calf and the apparatus of control called the Iron Baal.

As long as Israel keeps making bricks for Egypt, the chains only grow heavier. But the Hebrew has always been a terrible slave for Pharaoh. That’s why Pharaoh constantly needs different slaves, with different faces, more obedient, more numb… people willing to abandon their own homeland in exchange for a bureaucratic sarcophagus and the promise of a government paycheck.

That’s why the conflict only truly ends when Israel leaves Global Egypt and returns to the place it was always meant to occupy. Because as long as the Hebrew keeps building Egypt, Pharaoh will continue to reign. The day Israel starts building Israel instead, the equation of the Golden Calf can no longer sustain itself.

The Torah is not a history book. It is the instruction manual for civilization.
