The Rabbi of Macondo

Richard Gamboa, is a supposed Colombian rabbi, who has a title or certificate of rabbi of quite dubious reputation, it is even possible that any real or fictitious person could obtain it online for only 150 dollars. This certificate is granted by the “esoteric theological seminary online” which in itself has a name eccentric and esoteric enough, more for the absurdity than for the supernatural. In fact, in the column published by Michael Starr in The Jerusalem Post, entitled: A fake rabbi appointed head of Religious Affairs of Colombia bought the title on the Internet, emphasis is made and mention is made of this fake certificate; or, better said, chimbo. It is also possible to pay for a title of “shaman” or “clergyman”.
Rabbi Dr. Richard Gamboa Ben Eliecer, formerly just Ricardo Rodriguez Gamboa, as can be seen in his university thesis, has an origin within the bowels of Catholicism, specifically, from his adoptive father, the priest Eliecer Sálesman, who also changed his name, as he was formerly just Gustavo Eliecer García. Regrettable and not to say somewhat cliché, this father from Santander of the Salesian Congregation of Don Bosco, attached to the Sanctuary of the Divine Child of July 20 in Bogota, was accused of pedophilia, besides being proven under a video that one of his victims recorded and that can be found on the Internet. Ben Eliecer, which means in Hebrew son of Eliecer, was the name Gamboa took in honor of the priest. In addition, he adds the title Cohen, Hebrew priest, taking advantage of the Hebrew-Catholic parallelism, a term that he also uses to create his denomination, which is only recognized by him and a couple of other people within the same Catholicism from where he came from.
It is also quite strange that in the thesis of the student Ricardo Rodriguez Gamboa, he quotes a Rabbi who introduces himself there as Richard Gamboa. How ethical and normal is this?
In his book, Gamboa talks about “Judeofascism” and about neo-Nazi Jews, apologies to Nazism, whose main victim was the Jewish people. This is unacceptable and illogical. The Rabbi appointed by Gustavo Petro is also an open anti-Zionist, and this appointment is considered by the Simon Wiesenthal Center as a de facto anti-Semitism variable. Moreover, since the horrible and terrifying events of October 7, 2023, both “Richard Gamboa” and Gustavo Petro have been more than critical against Israel and the Jewish people, they have been anti-Israeli, anti-Zionist and anti-Jewish or anti-Semitic, despite the fact that the “Rabbi” calls himself a Semite and a Jew.
The Rabbi of Macondo, a title that would better suit the new director of religious affairs of the Colombian Ministry of the Interior, I believe that not even Gabo would have thought of something so esoteric, surreal and vulgar, then Colombia could have a new Nobel. By the way, Richard Gamboa, had his first approaches to the Colombian State, with Juan Manuel Santos, who before leaving office, opened diplomatic relations with Palestine, and thus, began the deterioration of diplomatic relations between Israel and Colombia, which Petro would end up ending on May 1, 2024.
In addition to the appointment of the Rabbi of Macondo, Petro’s government announced that a Colombian embassy will be opened in Palestine, and that the ambassador will be none other than Jorge Ivan Ospina, remembered former Mayor of the city of Cali, and not for anything good. Along with the corruption scandals, the terrible social situation that Cali experienced during the violent “social outburst” of 2019 sponsored by the current President and his namesake henchman, Bolivar, who left the infamous and infectious Puerto Resistencia monument.
Likewise, the designation of the “Rabbi” is an affront against the Evangelical Christian community and the Colombian Jewish community, who had so far led the inter-religious dialogue together with all other serious religious denominations existing in Colombia. For Armando Benedetti, minister of the interior, Gamboa’s appointment is perfect.
