The World We Live In

The more I read, write, and observe our world moving on, the more I am convinced that hate is here to stay regardless of any given situation. When people dance in the streets to the news that a pregnant woman was shot, something is rotten in the social order.

Even after the birth and success of the modern State of Israel, Jews continue to be world’s leading target for perpetual hate and attacks. As I read the commentary that follows the daily news each morning, I am more and more convinced that antisemitism is not about to slow down.

Arabs (Palestinians) who kill Israeli civilians in Israel are being praised. They are hailed as militants, freedom fighters, and every other name but terrorists. They continue to be glorified by their people, who encourage this type of terror to continue.

Many of the comments in the media are blatantly anti-Israel, regardless of the content.  In Yahoo! news, where I comment on the daily news, I see that a good number of the comments are sickening and have little to do with the headlines.

Israel and world Jewry will continue to be who they are: a people who seek peace, help the needy, stay at the top of the world in medicine, technology, agriculture, and new innovations. Though this group is less than 1% of the world’s population, it has an outsized influence on the betterment of the world’s social order. News publications and all commenters would do well to remember this.
