There are no lone wolves
It is time to debunk the myth of lone wolves. Tragically, today Australia comes to mind. However, that down under country is not alone in suffering the consequences of the unchecked promulgation of antisemitism. The United States, a broad swath of Europe, and most of the Arab and Muslim world are complicit in allowing antisemitism to run amuck. When politicians, the media, academia, Hollywood, and radical Islamist join in common cause to demonize Israel and those of us who support her, they are all guilty of succoring and nourishing antisemitism.
When antisemitic regimes like Iran and Qatar, fund demonstrations demonizing Israel, they promote antisemitism. When politicians justify terrorism and refuse to condemn antisemitic tropes and calls for violence against Jews, they are aiding and abetting antisemitism. When tenured professors spread radical Islamist lies and support globalizing the intifada, they encourage antisemitism. When the media regurgitates terrorists’ stereotyping Israel in a negative light, they are unequivocally supporting antisemitism. When Hollywood know-nothings disgorge libelous fabrications out of ignorance, or in too many cases, as a reflection of their antisemitic views, they are complicit in spreading antisemitism. When Arab and Muslim nations indoctrinate their youth with scurrilous curricula painting Jews as rats and vermin, they are fostering antisemitism. When imams routinely use the hallowed walls of their mosques to echo age old canards of blood libels against Jews, they are preaching antisemitism. When government officials refuse to condemn the call to Globalize the Intifada, a dog whistle encouraging the murder of Jews, they are contributing to the globalization of antisemitism.
It is mission accomplished when the propagandists and proponents of antisemitism have untutored people associate the terms of ‘genocide’ and ‘apartheid’ with Israel. Those two vile lies spur the easily manipulated, weak-minded cowards to attack innocent people, engaged in prayer, at a party, on campus, or simply at home.
Eventually, the vilification of Israel and Jews who support her, give license to the antisemites to rid the world of Jews. For them, it becomes a heroic act, as attested to by the accolades and celebrations by those miscreants who revel at the death of Jews.
But to be clear, the so-called lone wolves are not alone, for it takes a pack of wolves to breed, feed and satiate the ravenous appetites of those who would devour the Jewish nation and those of us who support her right to live in peace.
