Tolerance for what?
Ok my friends, I am breaking out the realist side of my personality. I still know that everything is for the good and God is in charge. Yesterday was a day of celebration and chaos, and that is a metaphor for life. In Jerusalem, there was tight security getting ready for the Pride Parade, that was setting up to march right in front of where we live. We have had events happen all the time, so I was ready for the crowds.
In the morning, I had a beautiful yoga, massage and nutrition event with KOENA HEALTH that restored my soul and reenergized my body. It was so wonderful to spend the day with like minded men and women of all ages and backgrounds. I had to leave after lunch to meet my husband for an important meeting that we set up across town at 4pm. I left at 2pm, the bus took forever to come, and because of the parade, it let us off far away from my destination.
Jerusalem is a big connected circle, so I thought armed with my apps and maps, I would be able to figure it out. Not only did most of the busses usually run through the center where the parade was, but they were rerouted and completely paused until later that evening. I never made it to my appointment, Thank God my husband was able to walk to it and was there to represent us. He told me that I should just walk home, since I was able to get myself to the central bus station in Jerusalem. We have done it before, when we had to see family on a Friday, and were lucky to get the last bus back into town before they all shut down for Shabbat. Once we got to Jerusalem, there were no local busses anymore, luckily we easily walked home.
This is the crazy part, once I got close to my street, they were not allowing anybody, not even residents into the parade route. Years ago there was a hate incident and they were being extra cautious, they kept on telling me to walk around the back. I later found out there was a starting point where you could get a wristband. I decided to try to sneak through the back streets, and followed a group of three guys into a lot that was literally right next to my building. They were telling the officer that they lived across the street, and luckily were escorted away from the parade towards their home. I pointed to my building, and a nice soldier walked me to the entrace. Thank God, I left the house at 9am and it was 6pm!
I watched the rest of the parade from my balcony, and was proud of our tolerant city, celebrating all walks of life. This is the tolerance that I align with, but there are also things I do not tolerate.
- No tolerance for the flotilla, if you do not know what I am talking about, google Greta Thunberg, you will laugh at all of the memes. She along with ignorant fools are trying to bring aid to Gaza. If they spent their time watching what is happening on the ground instead of getting paid and being blinded by self promotion, they would see that Israel and the United States have cut Hamas out of the equation. There is no genocide, no starvation and now Hamas is not stealing the aid, as they have been, and the Gazan’s are finally feeling empowered to speak the truth loud and clear. FREE GAZA FROM HAMAS!
2. I love NAS DAILY, and overall agree with most of what he expresses in his videos. I have learned so much through his travels all over the world, as well as tech and digital know how. Today I saw a video he posted from a philosopher from the year I was born, talking about how we are beyond our separations and we forgot who we really are. While this sounds idealistic and beautiful, it is not reality, and I will not tolerate it. WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT, and that is a good thing. We are unique souls, we are not a monolith, and accepting each others differences, agreeing to disagree, and letting each other live in peace is the goal. Where are the leaders that want peace?
3. WORDS BY EITAN CHITAYAT Listen to this mind blowing interaction in Frankfurt, Germany at a Nakbah demonstration. I have no tolerance for a false narrative, flat out denial and ignorance of history, and trying to influence others to be sheep. IF YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE RIGHT FOR ISRAEL TO EXIST, we have nothing else to talk about.
AM YISROEL CHAI!
THERE IS ONE TRUTH.
