Torah is the only reality in modern times

Are you into AI? I keep on seeing different aspects of it all around me. Personally, I am slow to technology, and as a writer, I want my own brain flow uninterrupted. I like to go to classes in person and online, and learn from actual people that are also learning from people. Yes, it is amazing how technology is revolutionizing health care, and allowing for easy access to banking, travel and to learn to fix or operate anything. I do not think it can ever replace relationships and human interaction.

Back to AI, nowadays we really do not know if what we are seeing is raw footage or deep fakes. Do you know what that means? Look it up. I personally enjoy taking deep Torah classes from something spiritual, like Chasidut or learning about the laws with Rambam. When someone first starts learning Torah, either as a child or an adult, you learn the basic and literal explanation. Every year you understand it deeper, and it permeates into every aspect of your life.

I had to write about this because this past Shabbat, the Parsha, weekly lesson, just blew me away, and I am excited to share. We are all at different levels of understanding, and maybe for some this is common knowledge. For me, I love when my questions get answered. Every week there is a publication all about the weekly Parsha, Torah Tidbits. The introduction answered my first question. On the birthday of the rebirth of the modern state of Israel celebration this past Thursday, there was a huge concert right across from my balcony in Jerusalem. I had to walk over and was so happy to see Jews from all walks of life. Right now it is the Sefirat Ha Omer, where we count the holy days between Pesach and Shavuot. Each day has a special energy connected to the Sephirot, which is the essence of Kabbalah. During this time, observant Jews do not cut their hair, do not get married and do not listen to live music. This article explains that to celebrate the 77th birthday of Israel, listening to music is allowed. The gematria, numerical value equals the word MAZAL in Hebrew, מזל. This year it was extra special because the actual date fell on a Shabbat, so Israel moved the celebration to Thursday so that everybody could celebrate together.

LISTENING TO MUSIC DURING THE OMER ON YOM HAATZMAUT

The next article went chapter by chapter explaining the deep meaning of purity and impurity. How we strive to be the best version of ourselves and shine our divine soul. There are times in life where we connect to our animal soul, such as childbirth, intimacy and it also talks about a skin condition, loosely translated as leprosy. It is a punishment for Lashon Hora, gossip or hurtful speech that can harm someone. Our words are so powerful and can literally create a new world. The goal is to use our power and purpose to make the world a better place. Some of the terms the Rabbi uses in this article are “bruised nobility” and “glorious animals.” I love when words are a clear visual to understand the deep meaning of the Torah.

UNDERSTANDING OUR DIVINE SOUL AND OUR ANIMAL SOUL

If this is stimulating and you want to discuss, please reach out. Torah is the only reality in modern times. Maybe AI may work for work, or even for fun, but I choose to stick to humanity. I feel grounded and grateful to be deeply connected on my ongoing journey in this adventure we call life. Enjoy Noam Tsurieli singing happy birthday to Israel on Yom Haatzmaut in Yerushalaim.
