First, suddenly, Trump permitted Turkey to invade bordering Syria and massacre the Kurds, America’s staunchest allies.
The whole decent world cried foul. Then, Trump forged and bragged about a ceasefire (“a great day for civilization”) that is only temporary and didn’t even hold. Worse, it only ‘enables’ the Kurds to leave before Turkey occupies their land. Who needs enemies with friends like the US?
So far, however, the American Nation is powerless to stop the disaster. The King of Jordan, so different from his predecessor who had respect for Jews, refused to be critical of Trump’s/Turkey’s colonialist move.
Reports that Turks and Kurds still ‘fight each other’ testify to a scandalous false equivalence. Like saying that Jews and Nazis still don’t see eye to eye. The two parties are persecutor and persecuted!
Anyhow, how is it just OK when one country enters another and occupies a part of it — even without a declaration of war?
In any case, reports that Turkey used white phosphorus must be investigated.
Again, we find Trump on the wrong side of history. Again, he chose to support the bully and not the bullied.
Israel should recall its ambassador to the US. But it won’t.
And we understood what Trump means by ‘peace.’ The attacked should be silenced and move out of the way. In this case, that’s the Jews.
Thank G^d, most Israelis make a difference between peace of mind and suicide.
