The Torah tells us that Isaac had two sons, Jacob and Esau. One of Esau’s descendants was Magdiel. The commentary Rashi says (based on a Medrash) that Magdiel founded Rome. Rome became the forerunner of Western religion and society. Thus the Western world is considered to be (culturally) descended from Esau.

Chassidus explains that in the times of Moshiach, Esau will become refined.

The U.S. has been called a country of kindness. Nowadays, as the U.S. helps Israel, and eschews G-dly values, perhaps this indicates that the days of Moshiach (when Esau will be refined, and when the entire world will become more aware of G-d) is very close.

When we open our eyes, we see so many amazing miraculous events happening.

May we very soon see the complete Redemption, when there will be world peace, and when, as the prophet Isaiah (11; 9) states, “the whole world will be filled with the knowledge of G-d, just as the waters cover the sea.”
