Two Delta Variants Appearing In ‘Airport’ When Golda Meir Became PM

According to many experts a few weeks ago, it seemed that COVID-19 was under control in Israel, and there was optimism in the air that the pandemic was finally over for many countries. Suddenly a new variant is showing up called “The Delta Variant”.
The Delta Variant
From Wikipedia, SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant, also known as lineage B.1.617.2, is a variant of lineage B.1.617 of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.[1] It was first detected in India in late 2020.[2][3] The World Health Organization (WHO) named it the Delta variant on 31 May 2021.[4]
At the end of May 2021, the WHO assigned the label Delta to lineage B.1.617.2 after introducing a new policy of using Greek letters for variants of concern and variants of interest.[4]
Mutations
The Delta/ B.1.617.2 genome has 13 mutations which produce alterations in the amino-acid sequences of the proteins it encodes.[3]
Now That You Have A Brief Introduction To The Delta Variant, I Want To Focus On Another Subject Named Delta For This Blog
Delta Airlines And The First Variant (Northwest)
Delta Airlines is one of the major US transport companies that I am positive most of you are familiar with. In 2008, Delta Airlines acquired another major Minnesota air carrier named Northwest Airlines, which was based at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).

The film “Airport (1970)’’ was the first in a series of four that featured many well known actors and actresses. Of all places that could have been chosen to make this film, MSP was the first choice. The name of the airport in the film was also changed to Lincoln which was described as being near Chicago.
The Second Delta Variant – TG Airlines
During filming, a picture of the main concourse was shown just as I remember it, but with one major difference. Northwest Airlines appeared but the main subject of this film was a signboard from a company named Trans Global.
Looking at the movie Airport, I feel the name of the airline could have been changed to Thank G-d Airlines looking at the challenges the passengers and crew faced when the bomb exploded in mid-air and the plane eventually landed. That is obviously what all those aboard felt.
Helen Hayes Won An Oscar For Best Supporting Actress
It is interesting that Helen Hayes won an Oscar for her role as a stowaway. Even more interesting is that her initials match those of Hubert Humphrey. At the time, MSP only had one terminal, but as time went on it was necessary to build Terminal Two, which proudly stands today and is named after Hubert Humphrey.
“Airport” (1970) Was Most Likely In The Final Production Stages When Golda Meir Became PM.
Golda Meir was elected prime minister of Israel on March 17, 1969, after serving as labor minister and foreign minister.[5
Burt Lancaster and Helen Hayes appeared together in this film and would star together in another film “Victory At Entebbe” 1976. Lancaster played Shimon Peres and Helen Hayes played Etta Grossman Wise.
