UK Greens. From Tree lovers to Jew Haters

Dear Reader,

As the Israeli elections draw closer there is one UK party, the Greens, that would have no need for democratic elections here as they don’t believe that Jews should have a state of their own. They conflated Zionism with Racism at their annual conference. This formally gentle nature loving part of the soft left has been taken over by Jew hating left wing extremists that were thrown out of the Labour party along with the then leader Jeremy Corbyn. They have taken over the Greens in a calculated and insidious manner and now focus on Palestine. My open letter to their Jewish leader is below. At the end is a useful aide memoire when challenged about the Jewish right to a homeland in Israel.

Dear Green Party,

Under Zack Polanski, the failed Parliamentary candidate who seems to have the moral backbone of an amoeba, you have become a party that used to love trees and now prefers to hate Jews. The Greens in fact have been taken over by the detritus Jew haters of Corbyn’s Labour party. They have stolen your party, eviscerated it humanity and love of nature and you have now become so besotted with Israel and Zionism, something fortunately you can do nothing about, that you have neglected your local constituents concern about rubbish clearance and local issues, and instead have become a depository of toxic waste by perpetuating your own version of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. One can only hope that this means in practice that, as with all organisations of mono-ethnic hatred, to use your own type of twisted language, you have written your own political obituary.

Your hatred for Jews and Zionism feels visceral. Half the Jews in the world live in Israel. Over half of those who live in the diaspora identify themselves as Zionists, including all religious Jews, who pray daily toward Zion and Jerusalem, like their forefathers for over two thousand years, long before Islam existed. As a result, many Jews on the recipient side of your hate-filled slogans and policies are confused to say the least between your statements supposedly loving Jews and hating Zionism.

And if you think that your position is on the right side of history, maybe take a few minutes to consider this:

3000 years of history and continuous Jewish life in Israel and focus of diaspora Jews. Long before Christianity and Islam the other two great monotheistic religions existed.

That the Al-Aqsa Mosque is built on top of the Jewish Temple of Solomon which was built a thousand years before Christ and about 1650 years before the mosque was erected in 636 CE and which is typical of most invaders to subjugate and destroy the Holy place of the Indigenous people. In this case the Jews.

The unfortunate fact that there never was a state called Palestine; that it was called Judea and that the Romans renamed it Syria Palaestina to disconnect the land from its Jewish identity.

The fact that it was the Jews that called themselves Palestinians between 1918 and 1948 and that the indigenous Arabs didn’t fully adopt the name until the 1960s after the Six Day War.

The fact that the Grand Mufti and leader of the Palestinians in the war, Amin al- Husseini visited Hitler and gave him support to overthrow the British in Palestine and offered to help Hitler carry out a real genocide of the murder of 6 million Jews and others left in Palestine.

The fact that Jews came to Palestine because of persecution, pogroms and murder in Eastern and Central Europe and made the land what it is today and are mostly themselves of Mizrachi origin (Middle East background).

The fact that the Jews came in peace and often with real Socialist values.

The fact that the Arabs started murdering Jews in Jaffa in 1921 and have not stopped since.

The fact of the forced and often murderous expulsion of 850,000 Jews from Arab countries from 1948 ,where they had lived for centuries as second class citizens, many more than the Palestinians who were displaced in the creation of the State of Israel.

The fact that the Jews may have taken all of this a bit literally when you try and kill them every day and, in every way, and have pushed back to survive.

The fact that almost every country in the world was borne out of conflict and the Greens are not shouting (can’t hear you) about the plight of the indigenous people in Liberia, USA, Australia, New Zealand, almost everywhere in Africa, Myanmar, Yemen, and the endless list of real genocides all over the world but only focus on Jews and Israel.

The fact that the Arabs turned down every meaningful offer for a two-state solution, many of which would have given them more land than just Gaza and the West Bank.

The fact that Egypt controlled Gaza and Jordan the West Bank from 1948 until 1967 and made no effort to create a Palestinian State, but just perpetuated hate and destruction of Israel.

The fact that there are about 57 Muslim countries in the world and about 20 Arab countries in the world and not one of them resembles the open democratic society you think will suddenly appear in your idea of a Palestinian state.

The fact that the Palestinian Terror creed of Hamas is now the same as the Greens – not a two-state solution but a one state solution; that this in reality means another Jewish genocide.

The fact that the 1988 Charter of Hamas and even the Green endorsed one of 2017 does not recognise any specific Jewish rights.

The fact that the UN appointed Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide, Alice Wairimu Nderitu, a woman who really knows what genocide is, condemned Hamas for Genocide on Oct 7th and refused to label Israel’s response as genocide. She was of course sacked by the UN, as like the Greens it didn’t fit their narrative of the Zionist view.

The fact that the much-quoted International Association of Genocide Scholars is anything but. It’s a self-appointed organisation of Zionist haters; in fact, much like the Greens, equally irrelevant to true understanding of genocide.

The fact that UN and UNWRA are and almost always have been since 1948 Jew hating organisations that helped create and perpetuate Palestinian victimhood and reparations while the 850,000 expelled Jews from Arab lands just got on with their lives.

Sadly, you ignore anything and everything, no doubt including this letter, that doesn’t fit into your preconceived, biased, and hate filled racist views of the real world of Jews, Zionists and Palestinians. Tell me, who are the racists now?

Yours faithfully,

Ian Morley
