Dear UN,

What happened to Gaza

When you were there

All these years?

Dear UN,

I always believed in you

And always thought

You were so important for democracy.

Dear UN,

But what role

Have you actually played

In Gaza?

Dear UN,

Why has Hamas used your (our) money 

To create tunnels instead of water pipes and 

Independent electricity?

Dear UN,

And what about the rocket launchers 

Near a children’s playground

Under your nose?

Dear UN,

What have you done

To defend civilians

From their own daily terror of Hamas?

Dear UN,

Where were you during the celebrations

Parading broken bodies of girls

On the streets of Gaza everywhere?

Dear UN,

How is it possible

That Gaza strip became a terror base

Under your own scrutiny?

Dear UN,

Where were you 

When all that happened

Under your own UN schools and hospitals?

Dear UN,

Where is your responsibility,

And accountability

In all of this?

Dear UN,

Why don’t you talk

About crime against humanity 

Accusing your own self for funding hate?

Dear UN,

I just cannot understand 

Why you are not 

To blame.

Dear UN,

It feels like 

You have been in a vacuum

For way too long.
