We are not broken!

We are in deep pain. We are a nation in mourning. We are a nation still reeling in shock.

But we are not broken and we never will be.

I am not worried about our beautiful, little homeland. Our beautiful, little homeland that has had such a HUGE impact on our world. An impact so huge that the world is totally obsessed with us. Obsessed with us despite the fact that we are tiny in dimension.  Tiny in dimension but HUGE in every other aspect. We are huge in tech and innovation, we are huge in science and medicine, we are huge in agriculture and water tech, we are huge in literature and the arts, we are huge in security and defense, we are huge in thought leadership, and we have a huge collective heart.

HUGE!

But I am worried. Very worried. I am worried about this broken and on the fast track to becoming completely shattered, rest of the world. A world where people choose to believe in evil and lies. Evil and lies that are lapped up by so many ignorant, uneducated (and I don’t mean academically because we all know what’s going down on the college campuses) and unhinged human beings.

Sensationalism has always sold newspapers. Controversial prime time television has always ensured views. And today, the craziest, click-bait voices have amplified their social media following, by turning shock value into a strategy. Because today everyone is a reporter. (And of course, we are all guilty of sharing false information ignorantly at one time or another.)

And sadly, so many believe all the lies, all the fabrication, to be the truth. Sadly, so many fall into the web of radical Muslim propaganda (And they are brilliant at it!). Sadly, so many choose to support “the underdog” when they have zero idea of what they are actually supporting.

To us it is clear. It is crystal clear where all those billions of dollars and euros of foreign aid went. It is crystal clear from the testimonies we have heard from the hostages who have returned home, that there are no innocent civilians in Gaza.  It is crystal clear to us all when we see the footage from Oct 7th, from all the hostage release “ceremonies” and “gifts”. It is crystal clear to us when we see the psychological, warped and sick games they play. It is crystal clear when we see the photos and video clips of Gazans with their babies, toddlers, young kids and teenagers witnessing the atrocities, when young kids were told to spit on the hostages, torment them with sweets and teach them that their ultimate crowning lifetime achievement would be to kill a Jew. Any Jew. Even if that Jew is just a 9 month old baby. Even if that Jew was a peace activist and dedicated to aid Palestinian citizens in need of medical care by providing transportation to Israeli hospitals across the border. Even if that Jew was over 80 years old.

But what worries me the most, what keeps me up at night, what makes my stomach churn and my blood boil, are the Jews who are signing petitions, giving interviews and fighting for the “cause” whose sole intention is to wipe every Jew off the face of this earth. The Jews who believe that if they give love to all, all will love them back. The Jews who believe that it could never happen to them because they are Americans (substitute with any nationality) before they are Jews. The Jews who are reminiscent of the Jews that stayed in Egypt, and the Jews that are reminiscent of the Jews that stayed in Germany. We all know how that went. The Jews who fail to understand that the radical Muslim mindset is WIN or DIE. There is no compromise. There is no peace. There is no “2 state solution”. And the Jews who have forgotten who they are, what it means to be a Jew, and have forgotten to stand tall, to stand strong, to be true to their heritage and those that fought proudly before them so that they are free today to be a Jew.

As the Poles reminded us in the early 1900s, Hitler reminded us in the 1940s, and the Palestinians showed us on Oct 7th, a Jew, is a Jew.

So how have these Jews forgotten?
