We Chose Israel. Now Let’s Choose Its Future.

For too long, too many olim have watched Israeli politics from the sidelines.

This election, we all need to get off the sidelines and get more involved.

I made Aliyah from Chicago when I was 11 years old. More than three decades later, I’m raising my own family here. Like many olim, I didn’t simply move to Israel. I chose Israel. In doing so, I chose not just to be part of Israel’s story, but part of shaping it.

We built our homes here. We raise our families here. We serve in the army, work, pay taxes, and contribute to this country every single day. I believe that with rights come responsibilities. Yet when it comes to politics, too often – too many olim still feel like spectators in the country we call home.

We shouldn’t be.

Over the coming weeks, the B’Yachad Party led by Naftali Bennett, himself the son of olim who cares deeply about Aliyah and olim, is continuing our efforts to engage with olim across the country. We want to meet you, hear what matters to you, answer your questions and, most importantly, get you involved. To have you as part of our team to repair what’s broken in Israel and get this country back on track. Whether you’re religious or secular, a man or a woman, or from the north, south or center – we believe olim need to have their voices heard where key decisions are made.

Come to one of B’Yachad’s nearly two dozen English events planned between now and October 27th. Bring a friend. Volunteer with our English Speakers Branch or your local branch. Join the conversation online or on WhatsApp. And on Election Day, vote.

Because the more we participate, the stronger our voice becomes. When we show up, the issues that matter to our communities — from security and education to aliyah and integration, the cost of living, reserve service and Israel’s global standing and our relationship with the Jewish world — become harder to ignore.

This election, like many of the experienced professionals who make up our B’Yachad team, I made a decision: Instead of continuing my work in politics behind the scenes, I would step up and run for office myself. At this pivotal moment for Israel, it’s up to each of us to see how we can step up and make a difference.
