We Jews became disposable

A hunting season on Jews “officially” opened on October 7, 2023 with the Hamas massacre in Israel and not only it hasn’t closed but its gates have been opening even more since then. Many privileged members of so-called sophisticated and humanistic societies enjoy holding the gates up and tearing down the remaining fences. New fences are put up to segregate Jewish intellectuals, artists, personalities etc, but also “regular”Jews and keep them in isolation, in new ghettos and shtetls as Jews are considered dangerous to the rest of humankind.

This became even more obvious and inexplicable on October 9, 2026 when the Norwegian Committees awarded Nobel Peace Prize to Navi Pillay, a South African lawyer, a former judge on the the International Court of Justice. This was a punch in the faces of Jews as Pillay is a woman who claimed that the October 7 massacre did not occur in vacuum, that Israel’s treatment of Gazans provoked it. She accuses Israel of sex and gender-based violence against Palestinians. She is one of the prominent people claiming that Israel perpetrates genocide in Gaza. Of course, the reaction to this “award” was predictable – Hamas is rejoicing, correctly understanding this as an endorsement of its terrorist actions. How this will lead to peace is unclear unless Pillay and her UN colleagues together with the Norwegian Committee are hoping for destruction of Israel resulting in newly re-imagined “peace” in Palestine. Will this feat be followed by abolishing the committee and perhaps purging the Nobel Peace Prize from the roster of Nobel Prizes? Of course not, it is already celebrated as a big achievement of humanitarians.

Elisha Wiesel, the son of Elie Wiesel, another awardee of Nobel Peace Prize in 1986, expressed his dismay and bewilderment about the newest awardee, a total opposite of his father.

On October 7, 2026, a day commemorating the third anniversary of the massacre, anti-Zionists, antisemites, Hamasniks and the like poured into streets of cities, particularly in NYC to express their Jew-hatred, celebration of slaughtering of Jews just three years ago and holding vigils not for Jews murdered and kidnapped in Gaza, but for the killed “martyrs”, Hamas terrorists eliminated by the IDF. The purpose was clear – to inflict as much pain as possible on Jews. If they cannot kill Jews in person at least they do it figuratively and enjoy how much pain they can inflict.

The psychological torture is another showcase and proof of the depravity of Hamas and their supporters. Such demonstrations celebrating the massacre on October 7 as an act of resistance and liberation is a flaunt of unspeakable, inhuman cruelty not only against Jews, but against humanity. To celebrate burning to death families sleeping in their beds? Slaughtering babies? Raping and mutilating women before they are murdered? Is that what is considered “glorious victory, resistance and liberation”? It definitely sounds like the extermination of certain people. And vigils held on many campuses and other suitable locations for “genocide” of Palestinians. And all this is done not just with a tacit but loud approval of Zohran Mamdani, the mayor of New York City. Many of the participants besides Islamists and members of some obscure pro-Islamists groups in these grotesque shows are college students, many from Arab countries.

Two coincidences strike me: well synchronized events around the globe with the same program, call for massacre or at least elimination of Jews in Israel and their replacement by suffering Palestinians. And perhaps most important and troubling – it is OK to call for wiping Jews off the planet, this is “just” rhetoric. Nobody is killing them. At least not yet besides by Hamas, it is only free speech – guaranteed by the First Amendment be everybody assured, it is kosher…

To those who claim that all this is Netanyahu’s fault because of his and his cabinet’s extreme views I say that is not the case. It is not Netanyahu, not even Ben Gvir who supposedly provoked this despicable celebration of the October 7 massacre by the pro-Hamas mob, no, it is the result of diligent planning and preparations by Hamas, other terrorist groups and financial and ideological support flowing from Qatar into our education system and brainwashing of young minds. This has been going on for years What happened to our college students, the rising leaders of our country and their professors, writers, artists and intellectuals, the established doyens and politicians that they were so easily hoodwinked into the liberation of Palestine by heroic Hamas and Israel committing genocide fiction. Eons before Netanyahu entered the world scene as an even mediocre player, the process of indoctrination started, first in the classroom only, then on the internet and as internet matured and social media spread and replaced traditional, but now outdated printed and online news, propaganda and hatred have been spreading with exponential speed covering the entire planet. That is why antisemitism was able to get out from hiding so quickly already on October 7 2023,

As reported in Jerusalem Post Hamas believes it won and can still destroy Israel – that’s its only goal, and it is not the only group to think so.

And the rise of antisemitism has been rapidly increasing in the last three years in all corners of the Western World, a world that pledged “Never again.” Human memory is short, and WWII and Holocaust count as ancient history, particularly for young people. And Jews have been not only doing well – there is always a hint of suspicion that they are in control of the media, banking system etc. Jews are not oppressed, they are the oppressors, settler/colonialists and white supremacists. Western democracies are competing who can help Muslims, particularly radical Muslims and Islamists and if some Jews are harmed in the process so perhaps they deserve it. After Jews commit genocide and other war crimes.

But as tragic these events are and as deep the hatred of Jews penetrates and affects us, we do not live in Naqba. On the contrary, we will sing together with Jews on flydubai flight 1073 the words of Chasidic Rabbi Nachman: “All the world is a narrow bridge, and the main thing is not to fear” as we will overcome it by holding hands of other Jews.
