We’re in a Russian roulette reality

While it’s great to read the compelling arguments analyzing where the geopolitical situation with Iran is leading us, I believe all roads ultimately lead to Rome. Or, in this case, to a conflagration. Whether it’s going to be a regional war or a global war remains to be seen. Our world isn’t going to be the same, that’s for sure. History is happening right now. Trump is right this is the most important U.S. election in our lifetime. And given how ”bigly smart” both candidates are, the world is in serious trouble. I know there are CIA people and others who are there to provide intel to the POTUS, but they aren’t decision-makers (unless you believe that politicians are just puppets and some unknown force controls this world but that’s speculative at best, so let’s not go there now). Actually, I feel sorry for them because they are smart people (hint: intelligence) but answer to people who are, well, not that bright. I can’t imagine the level of frustration some of those intelligence officers are feeling.

We essentially live in a Russian roulette reality. There’s no shortage of crises that can end humanity, yet, we keep dodging the bullet. I find it tragicomical when all these ”visionaries” and billionaires keep painting rosy pictures of the future. AI this, AI that, everyone is going to be happy. I don’t know what that’s about. Are they stuck in ivory towers? Probably. And when the worst case scenario happens, which can very much materialize, off to the luxury bunkers they will flock, while the rest of us is going to have a meeting with God or praying for one.

We can only dodge the bullet so many times. Did you know that a brave Russian colonel saved the world from a nuclear destruction in 1983? There were at least two more such close calls. I’d prefer Russian heroes to be like Stanislav Petrov and not some war criminal.

Israel getting ready to strike Iran. Israel must do it. If Israel were to back down, it would shatter its reputation in the region filled with vultures and vipers. Israel can’t afford any weakness in such a bloodthirsty region. Anyway, you know it much better than me.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister warning that Russia wants to target not just one, but three, Ukrainian nuclear power plants. Whoever gives the order, ought to end up in hell where there’s Halloween every day.

North Korean tensions are spiraling out of control. The list is long. Don’t forget about religious fanatics, uncontrolled refugee streams, doomsday cults, Mexican drug cartels, human trafficking rings (I don’t know how anyone could calculate this, but, apparently, there’s more slavery now than in the Roman Empire). This new-normal world is as unpredictable as ever. Depressing? Depends how you look at it. To me, knowledge is liberating, though I get it if you’re the ignorance-is-bliss kind of guy.

Bug-out bags no longer raise eyebrows.

While soldiers are bravely battling the enemy on the frontlines, it doesn’t mean the rest of us are safe away from the frontlines. You’re acutely aware of that in Israel. In Poland? I’m not so sure. Finland is way better prepared for emergencies but they weren’t under Soviet control for decades.

We are in a cognitive war, whether we like it or not. Our minds are targeted by all sorts of regimes and nutjobs. It takes a powerful mind to resist the barrage of nonsense these days. And when you believe absurdities, it’s just one step away from committing atrocities. Why does CIA and other intel agencies waste time investigating who targets these endlessly evil people baying for blood and nuclear war and counting their money in the process? I can understand if/when a prominent oppositionist is targeted, for example. That’s different. These people are worth protecting. When it comes to investigating who is targeting the propagandistic scum, wouldn’t such resources be better spent helping Ukrainians or protecting anti-regime activists? The world really is upside down.

These people are beyond redemption and don’t deserve resources being wasted on them to find out who killed them and why. They are gone, and the world is a better place without them. All that matters. Nuff said.

Russian psychologists and psychiatrists – many of them are criminals, too, for supporting this vile regime hellbent on genocide. Coming up with ideas how to torture better. How to brainwash Ukrainian children more effectively. You have a history of serving the regime going back decades. You are no different from Nazi doctors such as Mengele and his helpers. You have betrayed your oath to do no harm. Shame on you.

I don’t care if there are negotiations, as improbable as it is, and some kind of re-establishing of ties with Russia. Millions, maybe more, of people across the world don’t want to interact with Russians ever again, me included. Only when absolutely necessary and no other way. Well, okay, I can make an exception, maybe, for someone who says, ”I categorically condemn my government’s actions in Ukraine and its treatment of political prisoners.” Are they honest, though? Nah, likely some maskirovka going on, but hey, let’s give them a chance, after all. One last chance to show their better side, if it even exists.

Look at Budanov, the chief spy of Ukraine who is around my age and already has such a long resume it boggles the mind. He is right there on the frontlines, taking part in military operations. I remember one Z-blogger girl getting shot in the leg after she walked out of a train station. She wasn’t so cocky anymore. That’s how courageous these cowards really are. Winning the mind war is only possible when your mind breaks the propaganda spell and sees through the lies. But how can we know what’s real, what’s true in a post-truth world? We think we’re debunking false narratives when, in fact, we’re just promoting another one. No wonder so many people are going crazy. The tension around the world is off the charts.

Critical thinking skills in the West are in short supply these days. You’ll find useful idiots (opportunists, or both) on YouTube and other platforms, praising Russia and Iran and justifying genocidal actions. I have my 3-D model: dumb, delusional or deceptive. Works like a charm.

Enjoy your Russian roulette reality ride, then – courtesy of Vladimir Putin – and  FSB friends.

When Russia enters a new territory, it has lists of people to eliminate. Elites, mostly. It’s the same with all regimes. Make no mistake. They haven’t changed one bit. They are just much more technologically advanced, but the same murderous mentality drives them. If someone tells you it’s propaganda, they clearly have no idea what these regimes are like. But hey, what do you expect, when one prominent right-wing Russia lover is from… Vancouver.  Easy to love Russia and pretend to be an expert on Russia when you’re across the world.

It’s like me telling the Taiwanese people what mainland China is like. Yep. Makes sense, right? (Sarcasm, just in case).
