What a Sick World

“The day humanity traded the beauty of nature for sterile concrete was the day we also traded our courage for anonymous betrayal.”
The world is suffering from a terminal moral sickness. It is a sickness rooted in cowardice, hidden agendas, and an absolute refusal to look truth in the eye. This decay starts on the local level, on our very doorsteps, and extends all the way to the highest halls of global geopolitics. We live in an era where people wear friendly masks, smile to your face, and stab you in the back the moment you turn around. This infectious disease of deceit has spread everywhere, replacing human honesty with a culture of backstabbing, where the brave are punished and the cowards run the show.
The petty rot of this system was on full display when law enforcement officers showed up at my private home late in the evening over a tree. This tree was not just property; it was a living memory, a precious gift from my late father. A few branches hung over a wide sidewalk, leaving meters of completely free space. Instead of walking over like a human being, knocking on the door, and speaking directly, a neighbor chose to hide. They weaponized the authorities behind a shield of anonymity because people today are terrified to talk. They love cold, sterile concrete more than living nature, and they use the state to enforce their misery. It forces an honest person to ask why we must mutilate nature during the wrong season just to appease people who are too weak to have a face-to-face conversation. This stark contrast highlights a bitter truth about modern society: humans have developed a profound cruelty, abandoning compassion for animals, birds, and the environment in favor of sterile isolation. We rescue flies, bees, and wasps from our homes because we value life, yet the people around us value rules, control, and concrete more than the living world.
This local cowardice mirrors the exact same double agendas that dominate the global political stage, with Israel standing as the ultimate spearpoint of this worldwide hypocrisy. The international community treats Israel as the ultimate scapegoat, projecting humanity’s collective evil and failures onto a single nation. Throughout history, societies have always manufactured a scapegoat to avoid facing their own internal rot, and today, Israel is forced into that exact role on the global stage. The duplicity is staggering. Consider movements like Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions. These activists loudly scream for boycotts on the world stage, yet behind closed doors, they happily scroll through cellphones powered by Israeli technology and eat fresh salads filled with cherry tomatoes invented in Israel. They eagerly consume the fruits of Israeli innovation while plotting the destruction of the nation that created them.
This backstabbing is not limited to overt activists; it runs deep within alleged political and religious alliances, exemplified by major world figures who shift their stances for convenience. Donald Trump openly positions himself as the ultimate defender of Israel, yet his actions and political maneuvering often leave allies vulnerable, demonstrating that even the loudest proclamations of friendship are subject to shifting personal and political agendas. Leaders and nations claim to be the greatest friends of Israel, yet they execute covert betrayals behind her back. Even certain religious groups loudly declare their love for Israel, but hide a double agenda to convert the Jewish people under the mask of friendship. This is the exact same infectious mental disease that has plagued Middle Eastern geopolitics for generations, where public declarations of peace are nothing but a curtain hiding a knife. The truth is that if Israel were completely gone tomorrow, the global wars would not stop for a single second. The violence would rage on continuously because the conflict has nothing to do with borders and everything to do with the historical pattern of scapegoating and the inherent dishonesty of humankind.
The global system is completely broken because leaders, politicians, and ordinary citizens are terrified to be honest. Deceit and lies have completely replaced courage. True peace is an absolute impossibility as long as the world operates on secret agendas and cowardly betrayals. We must return to a state of radical bravery where individuals and politicians speak their true thoughts openly without fear of isolation or prison. Society must respect raw honesty over polished deception, using truth as the only valid starting point for genuine compromise. Until humanity finds the courage to drop the masks and speak directly, global peace remains a distant illusion, and the world will destroy itself long before that day ever arrives.

About the Author
CEO of Time to Stand Up for Israel, a nonprofit organization with a powerful mission: to support Israel and amplify its voice around the world. With over 200,000 followers across various social media platforms, our community is united by a shared love for Israel and a deep commitment to her future. My journey as an advocate for Israel began early. When I was 11 years old, my father was deployed to the Middle East through his work with UNTSO. I had the unique experience of living in both Syria and Israel, and from a young age, I witnessed firsthand the contrast in cultures and realities. That experience shaped me profoundly. Returning to the Netherlands, I quickly became aware of the growing wave of anti-Israel sentiment — and I knew I had to speak out. Ever since, I’ve been a fierce and unapologetic supporter of Israel. I’m not religious, but my belief is clear and unwavering: Israel has the right to exist, and Israel has the duty to defend herself. My passion is rooted in truth, love, and justice. I’m a true Zionist at heart. From my first breath to my last, I will stand up for Israel.
