What Thoughts, Words, Acts Chart History’s Vistas

Torah Portion- Va’etchanan  (Deuteronomy- Chapter 3:23 to 7:11)

Moses did not enter the Promised Land;

Yet, in spirit, he not only saw but witnessed

Its breadth and width, from west, north, south, east;

And the people’s future unfolded before him.

That which is not attained, physically,

Can be reached within the stillness of time

On the bridge of belief between the two worlds,

Built on the blueprint of ultimate faith.

What thoughts, words, acts chart history’s vistas?

Those chosen, map our future destiny.

All has been given to us in a Covenant,

As a Charter for life’s work to be a flame

Unto ourselves and future generations

And a beacon of light unto the nations.
