What words will get through to you?

What words can we say that will get through to you?

Hostages, stolen, kidnapped have not worked.
What about human-trafficked to be sex slaves?
Nope, that pain does not puncture your misinformed hearts.
Human trafficking is a term of the the now, yet you still do nothing but attack us.

Murdered, raped, tortured. Both women and men.
Unalived seems to be a word of the now, but you still do not care.

We care.
For 2000 years we yearned and prayed to come back to our Homeland. We wrote, spoke and sang about that yearning. It burnt brightly in us. The hope. Hatikvah.  

Then we got our home back, as divinely promised and recognized by a world that once knew wrong from right. We returned and built the startup nation. 

You happily use our technology to vilify us while at the same time calling for a boycott of Israeli technology. When we have to use our technology to keep ourselves alive, that is also a problem for you. 

When we send our 18-year old sons and daughters to defend our nation and protect our inhabitants that is a problem for you. We will not cower. We will not lay down and be trampled upon. Never Again. 

Today, Israel is an advanced, multi-ethnic and multi-religious democracy, a marvel  of ancient historical ruins and natural wonders. Israel is a sight to behold, yet those who protest against her know nothing of her past or present. The screams are loud, intimidating and influential and drown out facts, data and nuance. 

The same nations that voted overwhelmingly for the creation of the State of Israel now stab us in the back and tell us not to do whatever it takes to keep our religiously diverse democracy of 9 million people alive and safe. They also don’t appear to have any appetite to protect their own Jewish communities either.

Shame on you.
It is our people who are being murdered, injured and attacked every day at the hands of maniacal jihadist terrorists, not yours. Not yet anyway. They are coming for you too.

So just shut up if you won’t support us. If you want to support us, speak up. And finally, let us do what it takes to save the Nation of Israel and protect Jewish communities around the world. 

May you never need to put your life on the line or bare the trauma of grief for a murdered or fallen relative. The longer you do not stand up for Israel and against Islamic Jihadism, the closer that possibility becomes, wherever you are reading this from.
