Where Are We Heading

Israel is  once again surrounded  with hostile neighbors. However, now, it is the land and religion which put our people in constant confrontation. The present Gaza war, once again, continues to “light” fire under antisemitism, reminiscent of the Nazi Era. We have seen that the events of the past few months have turned the world against Israel and Jews where everyone seems to blame Israel for Gaza’s destruction.

Biden’s recent threats on its arms delivery to Israel sends the wrong signals to Israel’s enemies. If this were to happen, it will embolden Iran’s proxies to plan a major attack on Israel. Biden, playing on both sides of the Middle Eastern region is extremely dangerous and will surely affect his re-election bid.

The Raffa engagement is perhaps a gamble which can not be left undone as Hamas forces are entrenched in the numerous tunnels under the city. It may also be holding hostages in many of these tunnels. Since Hamas continues to use world pressure and refuses to negotiate the release of any hostages, Israel has no alternative but to use military force. The U.S. and the world is saying very little, almost nothing, about Hamas holding over a hundred hostages.

The fact that this war followed the worst massacre of Israelis since 1948 appears to have little effect on the anti-Israel worldwide campaign.  The demonstrations on campuses across the U.S. are well-organized and financially supported by Qatari wealth. Arabs in the U.S., using their freedom and wealth, spread hate, and physically attack Jews as they are backed by the antisemites.  Anti-Israel demonstrations in the U.S. have caused a worldwide rise in antisemitism.

It appears now that we might be, once again, standing alone. The longer the war continues on, the more international pressure will grow. And as we have seen before, Hamas will not negotiate, rather, it will wait for Israel  to “crumble”. Hamas  is also well-aware of Israel’s internal squabbling, as well as the immense pressure the hostage situation poses for Israel. As of late, European countries declared their intent to recognize the independence of a Palestinian state, which will play into the hands of Israel’s enemies, giving Iran and Qatar a free hand in support of terrorism in the region.

It appears that IDF action in Gaza is “sputtering”, giving way to the U.S. and the world demanding an end to this war. A “resolve” to destroy Hamas is slowly waning down, as the government is unable to unite in this effort. It is also encouraging Nasrallah to fire up the northern front, as more rockets and missiles are fired into Israel’s north, causing its population to evacuate.

This is a time for the government and IDF to form a united front to finish our war with Hamas, and perhaps with Hezbollah. Our leaders must stop the inner political “squabble”, for the sake of Israel’s future. It is imperative.
