Israeli Jews are targeted by rockets, firebombs, rocks thrown at riding vehicles, balloons with explosives or firebombs and infiltrating terrorists, violent Arab street riots and prison riots and a car ramming. The treat of another imminent war and bloodshed is in the air — again. From where come all this energy and enthusiasm to maim and kill Jews? From us.
We are in the middle of an election campaign. There are some politicians that not only make it a daily habit to slander their rivals — they seem to compete who can have the dirtiest mouth.
Our politicians only need to say what they stand for, advocate, envision, strife for. Attacks on others are not needed at all.
Just as unity gives us miracles to defend ourselves against real enemies, slander destroys this protection and give energy to those who hate us.
Watch your mouths! Restrain yourself and your political friends! Your war games against fellow Jews endanger us all! Stop incriminating, blaming, accusing, maligning, putting down fellow Jews.
Learn from our enemies. They don’t attack each other and that unity gives them wings. Unity goes for everything. Try it. Don’t wait for war to happen, Heaven forbid. Unite now. Do it for the Jews.
Last but not least, I keep saying that Haaretz should be outlawed. If there were a competition for who lies more every day, between US President Donald Trump about everything and the self-proclaimed anti-Zionist Israeli daily Haaretz just about Israel, I don’t know who’d win.
A case in point is today’s Haaretz reporting — and not correcting — that Israel shot and killed a clearly distinguishable Palestinian paramedic. The Jerusalem Post posted and highlighted (RSS sent out at 21:15 Israel times) a IDF spokesperson’s video in which we see that the medic takes off his reflective vest and starts attacking soldiers until he is finally shot.
