Why not a National Referendum on Judicial Reform?

Netanyahu and the coalition are constantly reiterating that their judicial reform legislation is backed by the will of the people. However numerous polls show that to be far from the truth, therefore undermining the premise that this legislation has such broad support.

Sadly, we are experiencing an unprecedented amount of animosity and strife and we are all consumed by worry over this situation, on both sides of the fence.

To this end, we should go the polls again…not to vote for a party or a government but a referendum on the legislation…in the same way that the UK did for Brexit.

This would give a much more accurate picture of what is wanted or not wanted by the majority of Israeli citizens.
