A Matan Torah Prequel: Noahide Mental Health

Here are The Seven Noahide Laws – tranquilly expressed in contemporary propositional & inferential language – each with an exemplary Mental Health Reason -and- a Vital Aspect characterizing it as Indigenous Wisdom for ‘Sustainable Groups’; THEN a relevant (albeit reluctant) cautionary note – based upon Jewish experiences over these ‘most recent’ millennium; and Finally a postscripting imaginary article of fictional fact.

A Naked Truth: History demonstrates that Knowledge matures with Mental Health. [Pause.]

Request: While reading this over-simplified review, kindly think about an uncomplicated actuality ⇒ Those who violate one of these seven elementary ‘aspects’ are presumed likely to be transgressors of the others. [Please read again; keep in mind, and then, continue.]

Noahide Law Number ONE: Absolute NO to ANY Offensive Murder – by reason that Victims never recover -AND- it blocks your LIFE-appreciation; simply stated – Respecting The Miracle of Life is a mental health dimension.

Noahide Law Number TWO: Absolute NO to ANY Sexual Abuse – by reason that Victims never fully recover -AND- it damages your sensitivity; simply stated – The Feeling of Intimacy is a mental health dimension.

Noahide Law Number THREE: Do Not Curse = Resist Toxic Speech – by reason that – by Trying to understand – YOU learn from your failures – and then to go on; simply stated – Responsibility is a mental health dimension.

Noahide Law Number FOUR: NO to Idolatry → ‘especially’ if it may influence others to transactional extremes, thus Do Not “Worship” False Concepts – since Believing that an idea is an entity will not make it succeed; simply stated – Appreciating Causality – even amidst complexity – is a mental health dimension.

Noahide Law Number FIVE: Do NOT steal, embezzle, defraud, etc. – since These ALSO make you paranoid about your own property; simply stated – Accepting Rightful Ownership is a mental health dimension.

Noahide Law Number SIX: Do NOT eat part from a live animal, etc. – since Your empathy & compassion are easy-to-lose survival skills; simply stated – Appreciate that Mental Health dimensions are very fragile!

Noahide Law Number SEVEN: Bring Dimension-Transgressors to Justice – by reason that Mental/Emotional illness is also the single most contagious disease [see: analysis & discussion in the writings of Professor Henri Baruk M.D.]; therefore, Recognize that Keeping a Safe Society is a mental health dimension.

Simply stated, The MOST Basic Human Rights MUST INCLUDE Your Own Mental Health -AND- To Live in a Mentally Healthy Environment – as priorities. Today and in every generation to come, these seven Pillars of Mental Health should be explicitly included in and actualized by Every Political Platform -and- held to be the supreme guiding principles of Every Judicial Consideration.

(again) Having considered this over simplified review of the Seven Noahide Laws, You should now acknowledge a simple fact ⇒ Those who violate one of these seven basic ‘aspects’ are presumed likely to be violators of the others. [Please read this statement again; re-read the SEVEN LAW; and then, continue.]

NOW, a relevant cautionary note for us – based upon Jewish experiences over these most recent millennium; Equivalently, a politically Incorrect ‘explanation’ of Antisemitism -and- of the many other Anti-cultural exploits by various Expansionist, Colonial, and Conquering unCivilizations; including their internal political dynamics toward their own domestic citizenry, and (more importantly) regarding their attitudes toward un-assimilating ‘foreigners’ in their midsts (yes – even after utter & total assimilation too). This attitude develops as a perverse corollary to Noahide Law Number FIVE – since the ‘local’ long-standing inhabitants (even if not the ‘original’ indigenous stakeholders) forever view those of more recent origin as being present: to take part of the ‘long-standing’ inhabitant’s collective property rights to the land, and to the bounties thereof.

Furthermore, whenever we were, are, or will be in the midst of a ‘society’ where even one of the Noahide Laws is not coherently respected, it should be clearly obvious that – since They are not respectful of their own mental health, Then they are ‘at best’ not likely to be respectful of ours, albeit ‘at worst’ expected to be occasionally or continuously openly hostile toward us. Moreover, our history demonstrates that their levels of literacy, culture, technology, wealth, and social organization are Irrelevant Factors; while their levels of STIs & STDs, their hostility & distrust of scholars, and their glee at book burnings may be more indicative of their actual ‘beliefs’. 

By contrast, some of us have lived among Noahide Law-Abiding peoples who may be poor, illiterate, and technologically primitive → albeit respectful and even appreciative of scholars, Mentally Healthy individuals & groups; and in such rare circumstances, we have flourished. IF you find such attitudes of Noahide Law Abiding or Aspiring peoples difficult to believe, THEN search upon the quote “Indigenous ethics resonate with the values of honor, trust, honesty, and humility.” and you will find it among the self-defining documents of First Nations, Aboriginals, Nagaland & Arunachal Pradesh tribes, and others; who continue struggling to maintain their own unique primordial memories, to recover their authentic native languages, etc. -and- who see OUR national progress as a LIGHT of HOPE – for their own potential Deliverance from under the dark shadows cast by their own Colonial Oppressors, Foreign Exploiters, and Savage Usurpers of their Natural Resources; ‘Native’ Life, Liberties, Culture, and Pursuits of Happiness.  

Living on a ‘Reservation’, in a Ghetto, or in a Gated Community does not constitute a barrier between ethical ideation-loving people and any surrounding Mental Health Crisis populations. Trying to inform the surrounding anti-Ideational population that Murder, Rape, Incest, etc. are ‘unHealthy’ symptoms of a Sick Society – only makes the advocates of such anti-Life ‘practices’ even more hostile than they already are – without such reproach; however much in-good-faith and of-amicable-spirit such rebuke was ‘respectfully’ presented. 

Simply stated: Look not upon their Codes of Beliefs, nor upon their Civic Theory Rhetoric, but upon their Actual Conduct; among themselves, and unto others.

Accordingly, whenever we OR any Mental Health Enlightened individuals or groups are living among such a perturbed/disturbed value-unstable population, then be aware, be cautious, and be ready ⇒ to EITHER be attacked, expelled, and/or exterminated -OR- to move elsewhere shortly, eventually, or suddenly >EXCEPT< if living upon one’s own indigenous territory → since the merits of one’s ancestors will arise to befuddle one’s enemies in the struggles for Collective Self Actualization→ until ALL is finally Redeemed to Authentic Nobility → by virtue of righteousness and ‘aspirations for righteousness’ which respectively characterize the basis of differentiating ‘chosenness’ that Every Indigenous People maintains: as an essential element of its unique Self Esteem. Such is the Lesson that we (and you) must keep in mind Forever. 

Finally: Having looked upon authentic primordial protocols for the world’s betterment, and upon the collective plights among those who have lost contact with traditional ‘aspirations for maturation’ of their own ancestral roots → now we turn to an individual’s saga: 

ONCE UPON A TIME in a land far Far Away, yet coming closer every day, was born – unto a Holy & Pure woman of Our Tribe – a child of the boy disposition, and not unlike many such others, he entered into The Lord’s Covenant aglow with bright ethereal light – unique to him; albeit not so unusual among all of our week-old brethren. By circumstance, only understood from the vantage of the ‘Master of The Universe’, his lot was cast into an environment where many of the locals found peculiar joy by wallowing in stagnant pools of (spiritual) mud and (influencer) filth. 

Of course his parents tried to nurture him in the ways of our cumulative Ancestral Wisdoms, however the day quickly arrived when he was introduced to other little children – in ‘formal’ play groups; and seeing him still garbed in what they misunderstood to be ‘ceremonial’ robes, and given that most of them had already been partially assimilated – by their divinely designated caretaker parents & siblings – into the fashion of encrusted stains upon clothing, person, and mind; thus did his friends-to-be graciously anoint him with clumps of whatever came to hand → and so began the degradation of his wardrobe-for-life, wounds upon his person, and a dull dimming of his exterior brightness. 

As his maturation began to unfold, and as he increasingly found greater needs to wander among the general population, be it for higher (?) education (?) or be it along the pathways from menial to executive employment, always appeared some misguided good-natured coworker who was embarrassed for our now grown up boy-person, and thus with a clap of friendship on his back or a brotherly tap upon the shoulder or a helpful tug on his sleeve – covered up one clean patch after another with dirt or grime – all the while trying to help him to ‘fit’ – into the society at large. Then, there were the peculiar national sports and holidays – where the bright colors of authentic frolic were replaced by clouds of belligerent martial dust and skyfalls of crematoria ashes – until everyone’s dirty clothes were coated with the somber camouflage color – before receiving yet another decorative coating of muck, grease, and grime. 

Years passed, adventures and misadventures, trials and nullifications, and while the playmates of his youth assimilated into the surrounding expanse, he – that once gleaming child – finally found his way out of that vast and plentiful ideational void → to an indigenous place of frenetic ideational fellowship; Except no one recognized him, nor appreciated that – however fully stained his garments were (even after endless launderings) – he had never run after the dirt, nor cared to frolic in the filth, nor celebrated the stench, nor venerated the putrid. (OH – You may have seen him in passing, or even casually met him, and likewise thought ill of him; according to ‘reasonable’ presumptions regarding his haplessly tiresome appearance.) 

To make matters still more complicated, there were many other ‘newcomers’ (who were circumstantially raised & nurtured in a halachic vacuum) who kept arriving wearing horribly stained wardrobes, who then shed these like disposable packaging, and took to hiding under formal coats and official looking hats (all typically paid for through the largesse of their estranged – while curious & confused – parents); and these were some of the same good-fellows who had taken pains to dishevel and bismerch his attire – from earliest nursery play thru schoolyard antics, and from college pranks to office party perversions – so – of course – he was (and remains) unrecognized for his own heroic achievement.

What awaits the surviving halachic heroes and the fortunate psycho-spiritual vagabond casualties alike – when they naively merge into our indigenous ingathering – are the very same flawed conglomerations of institutional nepotism (‘dusted over’ with nano-bits of spurious meritocracy) that left so many of their modest ancestors (many – of living memory) unprepared for the chaos of prolonged exile (including both ‘declining awareness of’ and ‘recent awakenings to’ our CORE’s antiquated halacha-technology latencies); thus institutional Recombinant Therapy remains an ongoing (primary & secondary) educational priority – while overshadowed by the dark clouds of earlier & ongoing culturally-toxic remedies, national circumstance-irrelevant fragmentations, political budgetary squabbling, pseudo-denominations, regressive pyramid schemes, charity selling industries, and competing [sic] Black & White branded certifications of foodstuffs, educators, judges, and Halachic CEOs; thus the moanings & groanings of our very tired kith & exhausted kin from under the chaos of communities dysfunctional to all but a central hierarchy of related families.

Kindly allow an instant aside from this story, for those genuinely offended by the remark “our CORE’s antiquated halacha-technology latencies” → I hereby insert the following Halacha-compliant ‘Awakening’ Example: The public and the authorities should be aware that instant & timely Autopsies (abhorrent to Halacha as desecration & degradation of the Dead) are virtually Unnecessary (and have been – for more than 20 years) → given the NON-INVASIVE technologies of HRCT (high-resolution computed tomography) scans for complete physical evidence -and- HRMS (High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry) of ‘External’ Swabs – which are normally used in Forensic Toxicology – for substantially complete chemical evidence. However, EXCEPTION must ‘still’ be made for the – extremely limited – ‘sad case’ where a bullet or hostile-fragment must be invasively extracted from a corpse – in pursuit of criminal investigation, and judicial closure; an exception awaiting a technological solution for closure.

Returning – to continue Beyond the Adventures of our ‘from lost-abroad to lost back-home’ individual: Stranger still and even more perilous than these psycho-spiritual travelogs – through the ethical swamps (far & near) – are the pre-life biographies of many a genuine convert – most of whom being the progeny of recent or long-forgotten abducted Jewish girls -or- misanthropic Jewish boys. Now, hidden among these many sincere converts are some especially unique soulful nobles – who have not a single spark of Jewish ancestry whatsoever; for they are the distant descendants of illuminated individuals who remained loyal to their respective nations – while suffering with the ‘orthodox’ cognitive dissonance of having wanted to accept the Torah – from a time Before Har Sinai. From those progenitors unto these esteemed converts were generation upon generation of chastisements – from fellow nationals – suspecting this passion for abstaining from violating any of the Seven Noahide Laws as some form of deranged insanity (‘evidently’ Genetic); until finally, approaching the end of days, these rare celestial gems found the other worldly courage to transcend their national origins and join among the believers in universal causality, joyous ideation, morals, ethics, and a turbulence of mutual aspiration: for Life, for Tranquility — for Mind, for Truth — for Time, the Instant Now — Eternity, and peace…
