A Word of Injustice

“Politics, as a practice, whatever its professions, has always been the systematic organizations of hatreds.”
– Wisdom of Henry Adams

The old adage about living in interesting times, is no longer relative to two allies. For, in the case of the US and Israel, we need to replace the word “interesting” with “uncertain”. The commonness between them is the adverse effects of Leftism verses Liberalism.

Beginning with the lessons learnt from the Jewish Press of NY’s , “Liberalism: Disease of the Mind, Sickness of the Soul” by Donny Fuchs, on Dec.7, 2015. Fuchs’ believes that the modern Jew lusts after a new idolatry similar in manner to that of biblical Baal or Molach. During those times one can view the paganism of Leftism as an extension of Hellenistic thought.

Leftism rejects objective truth and by accepting multiple truths is inherently un-Jewish. Although not readily recognized, it is an ideology of pseudo-moralism, where principles are twisted and altered thoughtlessly, to satisfy the current version of political correctness and societal perception.

Leftism “reflects a detachment from the most basic components of human reality.” It manifests itself in the innocent appearing guilty, predators becoming victims and “society eating itself.” Donny Fuchs asks how else one explains “the support many American liberals [Leftists] still have for ‘Planned Parenthood’ even in the wake of numerous videos documenting monstrous actions? The modern day liberal [Leftist] worships at the altar of women’s rights, and no horror on earth, documented or otherwise, will get in the way of his progressive thinking.”

What Fuchs is describing for the year 2015, is precisely what we are observing in the US today. It certainly reflects much of what comes out of Biden’s mouth. He is a prime example of Leftist hypocrisy. Consider his repetitive remarks on embracing human rights. Where can one witness other than the opposite of his and his followers claims relative to the subject of border crossings, and violence by the worst perpetrators of criminality. The obsession to ensure that President Donald Trump will never again attain Government seniority, overrides quality in the present day US Administration.

The handling of the issue of how best to obtain bipartisan gun laws is pathetic. It would seem as if none of the experts had undertake adequate research in the field. For if they had, they would be aware of the superior program administered by the Japanese. It was fully presented on July 8, 2022 by CNN under the title, “Japan’s strict gun laws make shootings rare” by Nectar Gan. The highlights are as follows:

To qualify, for a firearm license, potential buyers must attend an all-day class, pass a written test and a shooting range test, with an accuracy of at least 95%. They must also undergo a mental health evaluation and drug tests, as well as a rigorous background check – including a review of their criminal record, personal debt, involvement in organized crime and relationships with family and friends.

In the US, one report in 2015, suggests that up to 60% of perpetrators of mass shootings in the US since 1970 displayed symptoms including acute paranoia, delusions, and depression, before committing their crimes. Why then has all the time elapsed in not adopting a program similar to the Japanese?

Reverting to Fuchs, he inform us that in the absence of morality, liberalism [Leftism] festers and worsens. A liberal [Leftist] society, is a dying society. The very idea of defunding the police, and by so doing unleashing violence is difficult for any regular human to comprehend.

Biden’s planned visit to Israel has come and gone. The timing was such as to prompt the parents of terror victim Malki Roth to seek a meeting with him requesting Jordan to extradite Ahlam Tamimi to the US for trial.

She had chosen the target and directed the “Palestinian” bomber to walk into a Jerusalem pizzeria on Aug. 9, 2001 where he would blow himself up, killing 15 people. Included were 2 American citizens, one being Malki. While Tamimi had been sentenced by Israel to 16 life sentences, she was released in a 2011 prisoner swap and sent to her native Jordan.

“We ask that you address this as only the leader of the US can,” commences Malki’s parents’ rather lengthy letter to Biden. They draw painful parallels with his tragic losses and theirs. Sadly, given his track record on human rights and despite the favorable coverage on him by Israel’s media and the unwarranted prize awarded him by Israel’s President, there was little hope for a positive outcome.

On the other hand, Biden did speak to the family of Shireen Abu Akleh the Palestinian-American journalist by phone and invited them to visit him in Washington DC. And justice for all?

As reported by Times of Israel Jacob Magid on July 16, 2020, the Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir described normalizing ties with Israel as a “strategic option”, while clarifying that a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinians was a “requirement” before Riyadh would formalize ties with Jerusalem.” Added to this, was the rather frequent comment by Biden that he endorses the infamous two-state solution. And for this, Israel’s recently named President awards him a prize!!

On July 12, 2022 Stephen M, Flatow issued an alert through JNS, “There is a need for gestures before Biden arrives.” He reminds us of the customary practice of US Policy makers demands on Israel to make various concessions to the Palestinian Arabs just before an American president arrives for a visit. He was of the opinion that it was occurring during these times.

Had he been present, Jabotinsky would have little difficulty in verbally neutralizing Israel’s opposition to Biden and the Saudis. Chapter 91 of Shmuel Katz’s 2 volumes entitled “Lone Wolf” fully record’s Jabotinky’s brilliant and lengthy response to the Peel Commission during  February, 1937. A tiny segment:

“We are not free agents. We cannot ‘concede’ anything.” He reminded them of when Oliver Twist asked for ‘more.’ “What he meant was ‘Will you just give me that normal portion which is necessary for a boy of my age to be able to live?’ I assure you that you face here today, in the Jewish people with its demands, an Oliver Twist who has, unfortunately, no concessions to make.” Being indigenous excludes concessions.

In Israel, we now once again experience dysfunctional democracy in progress. “What follows has been extracted from,” INQUITIR – Organized Treachery verses Organized Hypocrisy:  A 35 Year Study of Israel’s Dysfunctional Government [with Dr. Paul Eidelberg] by Wolff Bachner.

“There are few Israelis who are able to speak with more authority about Israel’s dysfunctional government than Dr. Paul Eidelberg. For more than 3 decades, Dr. Eidelberg has been ‘the voice of one crying in the wilderness’ imploring Israel’s leaders to draft the nation’s 1st Constitution and to replace the current system of Proportional Representation with individual elections for each member of the Knesset.”

Bachner: How did you become involved in the attempt to reform Israel’s chaotic system of government?

Dr. Paul Eidelberg: I was invited by a member of a Knesset party to present my proposals for constitutional reform. My proposal for a presidential system was accepted leader by the leader of that party. However, my more provocative proposal, to make MKs individually elected by and accountable to the people in district or geographic constituency election, was ignored.

In the final analysis, any method which affects the relation between the rulers and the ruled — is a question of power. I wanted to shift power from parties to the people, whereas the leaders of the parties wanted to maximize their own power. Aristotle taught this 2,400 years ago.

Bachner: Dr. Eidelberg, what are some of the most serious flaws in Israel’s political system?

Dr. Eidelberg: The truth is that 65 years of this “system” has engendered the shoddiest politics. In the 1999 elections, the 29 KMs hopped over to rival parties in order to obtain safe seats! Israel’s political “system” is a disgrace as well as a disaster; and only the ignorant along with self-serving politicians want to preserve it!”

Bachner: How does Israel’s system of government differ from that of the United States, for example?

  1. Paul Eidelberg: First and foremost, the 435 members of the US House of Representatives are individually elected and accountable to the voters in district elections.

Bachner: What specific changes should be made to Israel’s political structure to prevent elected officials from betraying the will of the electorate and to restore sanity and stability to the various institutions of government?

Dr. Paul Eidelberg: The only way to do this is to replace Proportional Representation of parties by making its members – hence MKs – individually elected and accountable to the voters in constituency elections – the practice [in my last study] of 80 out of 84 democracies.

Bachner: Israel claims to be the only democracy in the Middle East, yet it sounds as if you are describing a Jewish dictatorship—–

Dr. Paul Eidelberg: Israel has not only flawed politicians, but also flawed political institutions…

The lack in Israel of a Constitution that defines the Legislative as well as the Executive powers of the Government renders the range of these powers extremely vague.

According to the Israel Democracy Institute, when tabulating the final election results in 2021, those responsible found that the voter turnout was a shocking  67.4%.

To this day, Israel does not have a Constitution! The continuum of elections within short time periods will never end until reform. Nor will many other deficiencies , corruption, dishonesty etc. And no single individual will make a difference.
