And The Rocket’s Red Glare, The Bombs Bursting In Air

בסייד

Yes, those are the words from the US National Anthem that I learned to sing in school as a young boy. I kept on looking into the sky at that time and there were no rockets and no bombs bursting in air.

But today I now live in Israel and there are plenty of rockets and plenty of bombs bursting in air.

I ask myself – with all the peace initiatives that have taken place here, why are there still those rockets? Why are those bombs still bursting in air?

President Trump is now gone and Joe Biden has now taken his place.

Will the new administration be able to continue the work that President Trump started here- to make the Middle East a safer place to live?

Those abovementioned words within the US National Anthem were sung at the inauguration this past Wednesday. As I have said, they have real meaning here in Israel, because since our Jewish State was created, Israel has faced many enemies and fought many battles on Israeli soil. With G-d’s help, we have been victorious every time. But it seems our enemies who are firing those rockets are failing to get the message and not interested in making a genuine and everlasting peace. (This applies to verbal rockets being fired from certain US Congresswomen as well).  Therefore, to expect that to change under the Biden administration is too much to ask at this point.

Israel can take care of itself as it always has for the 72 years since its creation.

What About America And Its Democracy?

The January 6th assault on the US Capitol Building is very worrying in many ways. The roughly 26000 National Guardsmen did a good job keeping law and order during the inauguration.

But The Question Is What Will Happen Now?

On May 21, 2019, I wrote a Blog entitled-

GAZA -COMING SOON TO A NEIGHBORHOOD NEAR YOU- WAKE UP AMERICA

The final paragraph read as follows-

So just like Alan Dershowitz observed about Gaza in my previous Blog, the Palestinians have turned it into a giant rocket launching pad. Minneapolis, the city of beautiful lakes and greenery has now become the terrorist recruiting capital of the US. Which city wants to be next?

It is now 2021 and unfortunately what seemed to be an impossibility at that time, now is a reality for many America cities.  Judging by the looting, violence and destruction that has taken place since the death of George Floyd in my hometown, I fear this may continue to be the case.

When Will This Stop?

Many Americans no longer feel safe in their homes, on the streets, in their cars or when going about doing daily routines such as shopping and taking their children to school, where there are schools that still are open.

The Pandemic has created a new reality for many Americans that despite all the latest technology and having perhaps the most advanced medical care facilities in the world, America is now at risk of seeing its population continue to suffer. This is due to many of its citizens being unable to obtain the vaccine that is urgently needed to help prevent COVID-19 from getting completely out of control.

More Importantly, Certain Members Of Congress Continue Their Hate Speech Against Israel, Jews And America Which Is Also Totally Out Of Control.

Is It Therefore Possible That Once Congress Puts A Stop To These Attacks By Its Own Members, G-d Will Bring A Sudden End To This Pandemic?

After All, As Is Written On All US Currency-

 “In G-d We Trust.”
