Are Israeli authorities again endangering endangered women?

Is this the next move in a row, or just false, tendentious reporting?

You can’t be fooled if you keep the following ideas in mind:

● The difference between a violent male and a violent female spouse is that the former may murder while smiling, and the second almost never.

● Violent spouses always pick vulnerable victims, make them ‘hysterical,’ and, with their calm demeanor, pretend to be the rational, sane ones.

● Violent female spouses try to murder their unsuspecting partners emotionally, which is very serious; yet, it’s not an emergency as the immediate threat of physical murder. They may poison, not draw knives.

● Male victims, often survivors of child abuse, tend to get blamed unfairly. They should be man enough to defend themselves or not be so vulnerable.

● Male victims should receive emotional, financial, and legal support, but only after it is proven he’s not the aggressor of the two. Not because men are more often the aggressor but because when they are, they may kill.

Now we read that Israeli authorities will change how to respond to reports of domestic violence. The wife should no longer automatically be seen as the victim because victimized men in the past were not taken seriously.

That is historically sad and offensive, but not taking a woman in danger seriously, as we saw above, can make her end up dead. That is way sadder.

The organization reportedly pushing for this change stated that “harm to children is mostly done by women.” Caring is also mostly done by women. This is a different issue and can’t be used to slow down protecting women.

Then the report advocates that family advocates go meet the victim and suspect to ‘mediate’ and think of ‘treatment.’ But, in the worst cases of abusing men, this is the most dangerous that can be done. The first safe step is separation, the woman going to safety. After that, mediation and therapy can be suggested, talked about, and tried, but not jointly.

Then it addresses false complaints. Abusers often counterclaim they are the real victims. That’s why about as many men as women report abuse. This has nothing to do with reality. The best way to get women in danger murdered is by the police demanding proof beyond ‘only claims’ and, meanwhile, giving the accused men the ‘presumption of innocence.’ All these pleas for ‘reasonableness’ go against common sense, experience, statistics, expert advice, and the acute safety of women in danger.

Watch out for these ‘reasonableness’ advocates who endanger women.

In any case, past weekend, organizers of the weekly anti-government demonstrations in Tel Aviv gave only women the mike in light of recent incidents of discrimination against women throughout the country.
