Karen D. Guth is a life member of Hadassah, a volunteer at the Hadassah Medical Organization, and a member of the Hadassah Writers' Circle. She was active as a regional leader in Young Judea, and the Denver Chapter of Hadassah. Her mother, Sharon Jacobson, served on the Hadassah National Board. Karen participated in Hadassah’s first Young Women’s Leadership Mission to Israel which had an impact in her family’s decision to make aliyah in 2000. She has a Doctorate in Education, teaches English in a high school yeshiva in Gush Etzion, and has authored two children’s books in English and Hebrew: "Bubie’s in Bidud" (isolation), a story explaining to grandchildren why they couldn’t visit their grandparents during the Corona epidemic, and "Wow A Child’s Prayer of Wonder and Gratitude." Karen, her husband Eric, their two sons Aaron and Adam plus their six grandchildren all live in Israel.
