Vivien Kalvaria: born in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), studied journalism, communication, art history, French, and German at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and performance at Trinity College London.
Vivien is a writer and former Weekend News Director for Southern Africa's first television station. She is the executive producer of the 2020 multi-award-winning documentary J'Accuse: A Cry from the Killing Pits of Lithuania. Her essays explore transgenerational trauma, the brutal calculus of survival in the camps, and the transformative power of forgiveness, cementing her as a thoughtful chronicler of the complexities of the human condition, Jewish culture, and history.
