Christian Nationalist ReAwaken America Goes Scorched Earth On Jews

This coming weekend, the ReAwaken America tour will spread its disdain for Jews and Judaism in Las Vegas, Nevada – the twenty-first city in its national campaign to blame Jews for supposedly preventing America from becoming a Christian nation.

Headline speakers at the upcoming event include conspiracy theorist Alex Jones of Infowars fame. Jones has stated that America’s problems are attributed to the “Jewish mafia”: “They run Uber, they run the health care, they’re going to scam you, they’re going to hurt you.” He has accused Jews of participating in a “global corporate combine.” Jones has also stated that a large number of attendees at the Unite the Right violent rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, were Jewish plants paid by the Jewish billionaire George Soros to discredit white supremacists.

Another headliner at this weekend’s event will be Rosanne Barr, who proclaimed in July of this year: “Nobody died in the Holocaust. That’s the truth. It should happen—six million Jews should die right now because they cause all the problems in the world. Hollywood is an organized crime network, and I’m not the right kind of Jew for Jews in Hollywood.”

Jonathan Greenblatt, President of the Anti-Defamation League, said of Barr’s comments: “Sarcasm or not, Rosanne Barr’s comments about Jews and the Holocaust are reprehensible and irresponsible.”

Pastor Greg Locke, a favorite speaker at Reawaken America events, will also speak in Las Vegas this weekend. In a recent sermon (May 7, 2023) at his church in Tennessee, Locke unleashed a fury against Jews and proclaimed the Holocaust was God’s punishment for their killing of Jesus (the false claim of deicide): “If the Jewish people are really God’s people, then how come all these centuries they’ve had so many problems, and there’s a curse upon them, and Hitler killed six million of them? The religious people [Jews] declared a curse on themselves generationally. They said, ‘His blood be on us and our children’s children.’ And God said, ‘Okay, Bucko, there ya go.’ And [Jews] have been in punishment and torment because they spoke that curse over themselves.”

Just last week, one of ReAwaken America’s founders and a keynote speaker in the upcoming Las Vegas rally, Trump’s former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, created a firestorm over comments he made at a Michigan religious gathering where he seemingly blamed Jews for the Holocaust. Describing a visit to the Nazi death camp Auschwitz, Flynn arrogantly asserted, “There weren’t any guards, but there were thousands of people that just said ‘Okay, here’s my child’; and got on the train. . . . how could someone stand there and allow these people to do that to them?”

The Auschwitz Memorial Museum responded to Flynn’s insensitive Antisemitic comments and stated, “The idea that Jews should be held responsible for their own genocide is not only wrong and hurtful. It demonstrates a fundamental flaw and incurs offensiveness, as it conspicuously disregards the substantial power differentials that existed within the framework of the Nazi regime.”

Flynn engaged in an earlier Antisemitic rant against Jews in 2016 when the campaign manager for Hillary Clinton theorized that Russians were responsible for leaking thousands of emails from the Democratic National Committee. In response, Flynn mused that Jews were accusing Russians to hide the fact that they were behind the leaks and then tweeted, “The USSR is to blame! . . . Not anymore, Jews! Not anymore!”

At a recent ReAwaken America event, Flynn also proclaimed, “So, if we are going to have one nation under God, which we must, we have to have one religion under God,” inferring that Christianity will triumph over Judaism and every other religion in America. Furthermore, at the ReAwaken America event held at Trump’s National Doral resort in Miami in May, 2023, Flynn asserted, “If you haven’t figured it out yet, the evil we are facing will not give up until we [Christians] take over.”

Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, will also speak at this coming weekend’s ReAwaken America event in Las Vegas. Kirk recently (July 11, 2023) hosted actor Jim Caviezel on his podcast to highlight Caviezel’s blood libel conspiracy theory that elite Jews are behind sex trafficking in order to drain the blood of children to produce the chemical adrenochrome to inject into Jews to help them live longer. Kirk tweeted: “Actor Jim Caviezel joined me on my show today for one of the most profound and heavy interviews I’ve ever been a part of.”

In recent days, Forbes, the Washington Post, and the Times of Israel have run stories about Jim Caviezel’s fixation on the Antisemitic blood libel QAnon conspiracy theory of adrenochrome.

Stephen Strang, publisher of Charisma Magazine, was voted by Time magazine as one of the 25 most influential Evangelical leaders in the US and is a featured speaker at ReAwaken America. In a Charisma news post on March 29, 2022, Strang stated, “I believe Clay Clark [co- founder of ReAwaken America] is a ‘watchman on the wall’ like me, one who wants to alert the Christian community of dangers of those who are anti-God.” Clark has stated that the COVID-19 vaccine is a bio-weapon containing “luciferase,” which he says Bill Gates created by combining cryptocurrency technology with Jeffrey Epstein’s Jewish DNA to create a new species of human.

In his article, Strang links readers to Clark’s podcast, “Who’s Steering the Great Reset?” In the podcast, Clark declares a Jew, Yuval Noah Harari, is behind all the evil in America. Clark has said that Harari is “Openly Gay” and “does not eat meat” and that the Biblical Yuval was a descendant of Cain—all indications, according to Clark, that “Harari is, or may be, the antichrist.” At the end of Clark’s podcast to which Strang directs readers are responses from Christian nationalist listeners. Their comments regarding the Jewish intellectual Yuval Noah Harari are disturbing and irrational:

“Nazi bast…s!!! Anti-God devil’s minions. This is the Rothschild/royals banksters’ war to protect the failed bank Ponzi scheme.”; “A simple rope and a tree would end this worldwide problem easily.”; “These people need to be executed. They have no purpose on this earth.”; Cut that sick bast…s head off and keep it separated from the body. Incinerate them separately. Evil, disgusting person to even begin to believe in himself regarding such demonic ideals.”; “These bast…s have no right to take our hard-earned money. They become so rich by enslaving everyone. They need to be punished, hanged, and tortured as they do to all our beautiful children. Where is the justice? God sees everything. He will punish these vile creatures.”

The fact that an influential Evangelical leader like Stephen Strang is promoting a podcast that inspires violence against Jewish people should frighten us all. The fact that only a handful of Evangelical leaders have shown the courage to speak out against the rabid Antisemitism and psychological manipulation running amuck in the ReAwaken America tour is troubling. If the dearth of evangelical voices challenging ReAwaken America is due to a lack of knowledge regarding the tour, we must find avenues of communication that make such leaders aware of the danger inherent in movements like ReAwaken America.

Fear is a powerful emotion. The fear that one will be replaced—that global elite Jews are working behind the scenes to destroy Christian culture and ultimately rule the world—is a weapon that has been used before to cause nations in crisis to embrace tyranny and authoritarianism as a last resort to preserve their Christian nationalistic desires. Samuel Johnson, the man who compiled the English dictionary, said rightly: “Patriotism is the scoundrel’s last refuge.” What he meant was that people will tolerate evil so long as it is committed by one who keeps shouting about how much he loves his country. We must never forget that words and ideas mingled with reactionary social forces led German Christians to embrace the Nationalist Adolf Hitler and ultimately stain their hands with Jewish blood.

Hitler’s motto that captured a nation was “Deutschland Erwache!” In English, the phrase means ‘Germany Awake!’ Sound familiar? It is high time that authentic Christian leaders speak out against the reactionary and fear-driven Antisemitic Christian nationalist cult known as ReAwaken America—which is not Christian at all—before Christians fall prey to an authoritarian scoundrel who promises a return to a romanticized Christian America
