Civilisation versus Brutality
The terrorist attacks against freedom of information and speech of Charlie Hebdo and against a kosher shop show the real face of Islamist terrorism at its cruelest cruelty. The Stone Age minded criminals think that their cause is served by assassinating innocent people just because they dont agree with their medieval backwards thinking.
it is excellent that the Moslem community has condemned the attacks but I think they need to do some soul searching as to why it is exclusively in their religous milieu that these radicals appear. When many Christian or Jewish symbols or even the faithful of these religions have been mocked and ridiculed in Islamic media, no one from these religions goes on kidnapping people or attacking them. So something very serious is wrong in the Islamic quarters: either some Moslems do no adapt to Western values and therefore – if they engage in criminal activities should be kicked out of their host countries or some of these people are encouraged by terrorist states themselves.
But these actions have one profound root which I have talked about ad nauseam: many on the Left especially the Radical Left act as do-gooders to strange Moslems practices – unthinkable in a secular state espoused by the Left – in the name of multiculturalism. For examples some swimming pools across UK and France enforce Moslem only swimming sesions !!. I could go on with many examples but this craziness of giving in to allien Moslem habits is one proof of how parts of Europe have succumbed to political correctness. This stems from the idea espoused by many on the Left and some on the centre and centre -right about promoting as something positive the exhibiiton of differences of immigrant cultures towards host cultures instead of considering all multicultural people as under one Nation. In this Republican Values idea, people who have differing religous attitudes or ways of looking at life just keep it for themselves and go on about daily life as one more citizen which to me is perfectly normal and desirable.
It is not late for France in particular and Europe in general to react swiftly to these terrorist attacks with a well -conceived startegy which must include a tough counter -terrorism strategy and deporting all those radicals who incite to or indulge in terrorism, attack freedom of speech and conscience in any ideological or religious name.
May the victims of the terrorist attack Rest in Peace and may Hashem protect us all from evil.
