Fellow Jews, you are on the wrong side of history

I have been quiet. The world is upside down and shocking, especially from fellow Jews. Besides the fact of the blatant and proud Jew hatred all over the world, right in front of our faces. How could my fellow Jews not see it? How could my fellow Jews not put their own brothers and sisters who are in Israel, in the tunnels of Gaza or being attacked around the world, first? I have had many conversations with people who are just now feeling so emotional about the new narrative, which is starvation and always about genocide. There is no starvation and there is no genocide. Hamas loves the chaos, because they use Gazans as Human Shields in order to stir up hate for Israel and Jewish people. I always wonder why they do not feel the same way about the Druze in Syria and the massacres in Sudan and Nigeria.

This is the truth. It is so clear, but everybody is trying their best to intellectualize and research, because their eyes and hearts are being pulled and manipulated. The response to my truth, my gut, and my reality is met with trying to prove that I am wrong. I am happy to listen and have dialogue, but my support for Israel and Jewish people is my priority. It is interesting how people think that by watching videos helps them understand and the sources they use validate their feelings.

I have never fit into any boxes. I am open minded, loving and optimistic. Connecting with people from all walks of life is my passion. I am fascinated with travel, and have loved living in cities full of diversity. After almost 50 years in America, I cannot believe the accepted antisemitism. Around the world it is scarier and more violent, to innocent Jews of all ages. What I have always loved about the United States is that it is a land of differences, cultures and communities. In Miami and Los Angeles, it was amazing to be able to experience and embrace each culture fully. More and more each nationality, race and religion was speaking loud and proud about their rights and acceptance in society. I was all for it, but I noticed none of the safe spaces wanted Jews. The right and left extremes came together to proudly blame Jews and Israel for absolutely everything.

Probably about 10 years ago, Hamas once again send missiles into Israel. While any other country would not hesitate to protect citizens, Israel is always expected to have restraint and proportionality. It was the first time I noticed a shift, and maybe it was because social media exposed every narrative and perspective. I was shocked by the words that we hear all the time now: zionists, genocide, apartheid, stolen land, and that somehow history of the region started in 1948. I was very vocal online, writing blogs and countering every false claim with facts, but people did not care. They were passionate, even if they never met a Jew or a Muslim, and could not find the Middle East on a map. After October 7, I really thought that the world would see the worst massacre since the Holocaust as an eye opener. Instead the Jew hatred became a norm in society, a proud club that everyone wanted to join and to blame Jews and Israel was always the conclusion. Did you know celebrations of October 7 were happening even before Israel started to defend themselves?

As an immigrant from the former Soviet Union, who loves the USA and was blessed by the American dream, I could not believe how Jews were once again the scapegoat. Every libel, trope and stereotype is openly used to vilify all Jews. So for my fellow Jewish brothers and sisters that are for some reason on the wrong side of history, we will be here when all of your understanding collapses. Thank God for a strong Israel, that does not care what anybody says or thinks, protecting Jewish people and Israel from Hamas and bringing our hostages home is the only objective.
