From the Heart of Gaza to the People of Israel
A guest post by Motaz Almansi (Gaza): For the Future of Our Children and Yours:
After two years of pain and devastation, I have come to realize that what unites us is far greater than what divides us.
The world has long believed that our conflict is a struggle between armies, but in truth, it is a struggle between awareness and fear, between hatred and humanity.
In Gaza, I have witnessed the unbearable.
I have seen human beings collapse long before the stones around them did.
I have seen the Palestinian dream transform from a project of life into a mere attempt to survive.
Yet, amid this ruin, a new conviction was born within me:
that the path of blood has reached its end, and that the only future worth building must begin with a culture of peace.
I write these words not as a politician, but as a human being as a father who wants to see his children grow up without fear, just like every father in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, or Ashkelon.
We — both you and we are exhausted from fear, from destruction, from living in an endless circle of pain.
It is time we break that circle together.
I have come to understand that peace is not weakness; it is courage.
It is the only path that guarantees security and prosperity for all of us.
A peace built on genuine partnership in economy, culture, education, and energy not on dominance or denial, but on mutual respect and human dignity.
Gaza can be a bridge between us, not a wall dividing us.
It can transform from a battlefield into a city of hope — a center for international cooperation that reflects a new face of this region, one that knows not hatred, but shared life.
I believe that both our peoples must learn how to live together on this small piece of land that can hold far more life than death.
We must teach our children that a neighbor is not an enemy, and that fear is not destiny.
We must build a new reality, a true peace that grows from understanding, not from force.
The time has come to choose life over the shadows of war.
To think of our children’s future before repeating the mistakes of our fathers.
To believe that peace is not just an agreement, but a shared human dream, one we can protect together.
From devastated Gaza, I extend my hand to you not in search of pity, but in pursuit of partnership in creating tomorrow.
Let us write together a new dawn, one that ends hatred and opens the doors of hope.
For your children، and ours.
For a life truly worth living on this land that gave birth to us all.
