Get your head out of the washing machine

Why do people have more anxiety today than ever before?

You should be happy.
Things are easier.
There is so much gashmius (physical pleasures) available today.

There is so much instant gratification.

Nevertheless, we have more anxiety.

You are putting your head in a washing machine.

Your life is shaken and spun around.
You have no Yeshivas HaDaas (settled mind).

Why does this happen?
and
What is the cure?

Your mind is so occupied with things around you that you have no Menuchas Hanefesh (calmness).

You are flooded with information and occupied with so many worries.
Your head is spinning.

This is like putting your head in a washing machine.

Of course, you get a headache.

You must understand the problem to find a solution!

Rabbi Zell’s student says:

“You have so many needs today.

You have your kids running around.
Parnossa problems (earning a living).

You are dealing with a lot of mishegoss (craziness).
You live in a state of confusion.
You can break under these pressures.

Moving away doesn’t help either.

You will still have the same problems.”

What do you do?

Remove your heart from the confusion.
Put yourself in a state of Bitachon (relying on HaShem).

Bitachon is a state of menucha (calmness)!

How do you put yourself in a state of menucha (calmness)?

The Chassidic classic Tanya (Chapter 42) says:

“It is not possible to be in a state of menucha without at least
one half-hour a day of looking towards HaShem.”

No phones!
No emails!
No texts!

During this half-hour

You look, think and feel HaShem is in your life and real.

It takes a lot of time to develop these feelings.

The more you get the feeling HaShem is real, exists and takes care of you,

The more your anxieties disappear!

Question:

Do you feel HaShem is with you in this moment?

What are your thoughts?

Please share this with anyone
who might enjoy or benefit from it.
