Giving away land brought October 7
Why do some keep on insisting that the only way to achieve peace in the Middle East, is for Israel to give away land?
Why do they ignore reality. “It didn’t work till now?” they ask. “Do it again.”
Why are supposedly very smart and sophisticated individuals, so steadfast and unwilling to allow for the possibility that Trump’s plan might work?
After all, it would seem to make a lot of sense: What has brought war till now? People whose children were educated to hate — and this has brought destruction to Arabs too. So when you remove these people to another country (for their own safety), then voila, they are out of the picture. They are away from the battlefield, no longer a threat to others and to themselves. Israel then has a more free hand to destroy Hamas. And then there is peace.
You want to be nice? You want to show compassion and caring? Then do so by utilizing an effective approach. That, my friend, will be beneficial and compassionate, for Jews and for Arabs.
Why don’t you understand this? You already tried appeasing, talking, forgiving, turning the other cheek. You already tried to make them happy by giving them land. And then October 7 happened.
“We didn’t do enough,” you say. “We weren’t sufficiently nice. Now we have to be super nice, to make up for our insufficient niceness. We have to show that we trust them to be peace-loving and law-abiding. We have to show, that we are really wonderful and altruistic. Because that is the only method that will work.”
Pathetic. Blinders on both eyes. Dreamers in la la land.
Open your eyes. It didn’t work. And it won’t work, because when you even just talk about giving away land, it encourages and motivates terrorists, who think that they have what to gain.
Why are you so lost in a fantasy? It didn’t work. Let me repeat that: it didn’t work.
It’s time to swallow some pride, and to admit to others and to yourself, that Trump’s plan might work.
As you often say, give peace a chance.
